If there are any changes at all, they should enhance the attributes that you have listed. The energy will be more empacked by keeping your dog in good health (including weight) and working with her.
Training your dog in obedience wiill help mold your dog's attitude more than anything else you can do. Joining a local class will help you do it correctly and assist socialization.
The decision to breed or not breed should be baed on whether your dog has special attributes to add to to its breed. This is determined by entering your dog in shows or field trials and having your dog do very well in either.Short of this there is no reason to breed your dog.

Absolutely yes, get her spayed. My dog is 9 years old. Still has the same sweet temperament and energy as when she was spayed as a pup. Aside from the obvious benefit of not creating any more pups in an already overpopulated world (There are so many in shelters, why make more?), spaying protects dogs against certain diseases and some cancers.

YOU MUST spay your dog. If you have any doubts, go spend 5 minutes at your closest Animal Shelter and see all the puppies that will be put to sleep that day because their parents were not spayed.
It will not change her personality and it is better for her health.

Yes you should get her spayed. No, it will not effect her personality. She will get health benefits from being spayed. Also you will not be contributing to the millions of dogs that are killed every year in our shelters because of not enough homes for all the dogs born.

I have never noticed a difference in personality after having one of my girls spayed.
As for the weight gain, they are all individuals. One of my girls is spayed and she is very lean, well muscled, and does agility. Her daughter is also spayed, she is overweight. My next most "chunky" girl is not spayed.

YES! Spay your pet dog!! It elimates the chances of uterine cancer, and reduces other physical ailments. Plus, she could get hurt if a male dog tried to impregnate her. She won't have the hormones for heat either.

Yes, the dog population is WAY too high as it is. There are too many animals who need to be adopted from the shelters already or are just homeless. Also, my jack russel is JUST as energetic as SHE ever was!! lol

Spayinig will not affect her personality.
If she is sweet now she will be after being sapyed.
The best things are that you will be lowering her risk of cancer and you will not have to have the mess and bother of heat cycles every six months.
