We're hoping to get 2 puppies in the near future and don't know what to call them. At the moment they are going to be Whisky and Mac after a favourite drink. Anybody got any more suggestions? Both pups are Shi-Tzu girls btw if that makes a difference. Ty in advance.

I have a female weimaraner (4 years old) and she is aggressive towards some dogs but not all, I do not see a trend towards smaller dogs or dogs of her size. She goes up, sniffs than pounces, she had never drawn blood. I also have a male 11 years old and she teases him but NEVER bites or pounces on him. He let's her get away with everything.
She has a bossy attitude but she is kind to some dogs and not to others. We love to take her to the beach to play with others but I am starting to feel a little uncomfortable.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Would a shock collar work? Professional help? Back to dog training 101?
Thank you for any help you can provide.

They get pretty big, and droop, seem very full. This lasts for a while, maybe a couple of weeks and then goes back to normal. She doesn't seem to be in heat at the time. She has done this 2 or 3 times.
Also, how many times a year does a dog go into heat?

We have been at the vet, he has been on meds, we've tried a kennel, chains, everything. He has seperation anxiety and he escapes and destroys doors and windows and siding and car tires and sides of car etc.......we have tried behavior modification techniques and nothing is working. Hes a 100 pound shepard. When we have to go somewhere and he has to stay home I have to go with the fear that he is going to escape out of his kennel and tear apart my house. I have chicken wire on the ground in the kennel and a roof on it. He actuallt bent and destoyed the chain links yesturday and when free proceeded to tear the sliding glass door screen off the house and peel back the siding around the door. I love my dog but I am afraid that I have tried everything to control this, spent hundreds of $ on meds and vets and training and fencing etc.......I am afraid that maybe I may have to find him someone who can be with him all the time or put him down.......I just cant handle him anymore

Our dog who we had for 14 years passed away a couple of years ago, my mum went two years without a dog, but after an attempted break in my sister and I bought another dog for our mum. However, after two months, he is so scared of the bath, he wont go anywhere near the bathroom, and I think that something nasty happened to him previously. Does anyone have any fun ways to try to get him into the bath, or any other suggestions to clean him? hes a border collie and very attentive and friendly. Thanks

She's very old and her coat doesn't seem to grow in the way it should. She has terribly matted fur and does not tolerate bathing or brushing. I will have to sedate her to shave her down. After reading some information about Chow Chow coats, I am unsure now if shaving her all the way down is in her best interest. Thank you in advance for any helpful information.

exspecially with dogs how come people mistreat them so badly, how come when you buy the dog you just use them for the wrong purposes like pitbull fighting, did you know that these dogs dont like to do this but you make them do it any waywhen your dog wins the owner really didnt win because he made his/ her dog kill another dog of course it may of involved money but guess what an animal is a whole lot better than money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!so think twice before you :starve any animal, mistreat it, make a dog kill another dog it may seem like that's what there suppose to do but no it's not what there supposed to do is love you and you love them so make sure you really think about how your treating them so treat them right cuz if you caused their death your the one going to jail not the animal you are ??????????????????

I have a Siberian Husky/Malamute mix, he is a HUGE dog and he sheds like there is no tomorrow. I have tried to keep up on brushing him, but come on... brushing him is practically a full time job, and I cannot be home 24-7 to brush him for hours on end. I heard that putting a tablespoon of vegetable oil in his food will reeduce his shedding... true?
