I lost my dog overnight. I went online and registered him for free and I called the City Animal Pound and confirmed no Yorkshire Terriers were turned in. Within an hour the Pound called to say my dog was turned in. It's quite a drive to where these good people drove my dog to the pound and I learned they treated him royally over night. What is a good amount for a reward? $100.00?

My male mini dachshund is blue and tan dapple with dk brown eyes and my female is red dapple also with dark brown eyes. The female is a toy mini registered with AKC and the male is regular mini with ABA and CKC. Would that make puppies tripple registered and able to be sold for more?

There are a lot of rescues desparate for foster homes. If you have some extra love and extra room, please look up a rescue and volunteer. I personally rescue english pointers, but I always see help requests from other groups.

When you hear a dog has "papers," they are generally referring to AKC (American Kennel Club) documents that state the mother and father of the dog were the same breed as the dog you are getting. That's all. It doesn't mean they are breed standard or that they don't have genetic problems or that they are healthy or ANYTHING. So if you're paying hundreds of dollars (or more) for a papered dog - why? The parents could have been dwarfed or deaf or blind or have severe hip displayia.
If you're going to spend a large amount on a dog, make sure you're getting a healthy dog, well bred dog, with a good temperment, not paying for "papers"
And designer dogs, are what we used to call mutts. Nothing says you're going to get the best of both breeds.
Educate yourself before you get a pet.
Shelter dogs are some of the best ones you can get, and their are breed rescues too. Why buy a dog when millions are being put to sleep every year? A pet is for it's life, not when it's convienient for you

i want one which is loyal, friendly, not too lively, is small to medium-sized and won't cost too much for the initial purchase and maintenance. I don't like toy dogs, like poodles or chuwawahs (sorry for any misspelling)
