Try Eukunoba (s.p) for adult dogs the percentage of protien is low, so it is good. Or Pro Pac with gulcosime helps lubricate the bones for older dogs to help them with their age as well as the weight cause Bull Mastiffs are giant breed dogs that weigh a lot so you need to watch out.

The best dog foods have meat as the first ingredient. They do not contain by products (can include cancerous tissue), corn or wheat (can trigger skin problems/allergies). Some of the BEST brands include: California Natural, Solid Gold, Innova, Merrick and Chicken Soup for the Soul. Any of you reading this that thinks purina or eukanubia are good brands should do some research instead of listening to advertisements.

Dog Food Ingredient
Before you decide to feed your dog commercial food, read the dog food label. The particular dog food ingredient is not what you expect:
Dog food ingredient:
Meat and poultry by-products, are the unrendered parts of the animal left over after slaughter, everything deemed unfit for human consumption.
When you see "poultry by-products" listed as ingredient on your dog food bag, this does not mean your dog is getting meat. It may mean it is getting heads, feet, intestines, worm-infested organs, undeveloped eggs, chicken feathers, and possibly diseased and cancerous animal parts.
Dog food ingredient:
Brewer's rice is the part of the rice that is left over after it has been used in a distillery for brewing alcoholic beverages. It is hard to believe that this dog food ingredient could have much nutritional value for your dog.
Dog food ingredient:
Crude protein, listed as 20% ingredient in a particular food may not mean that the entire 20% can be used or even absorbed by the average dog. Hair, beaks, hooves, tendons, and feathers are all permitted to be called protein.
Dog food ingredient:
Cereals, like corn gluten meal or wheat middlings added to dog food, are the leftovers after the grain has been processed for human use, containing very little nutritional value.
So what can you do? Simple. Provide your dog a food what it's body were meant to eat before we got lazy and let the manufacturers tell us what is best. Provide your dog fresh homemade dog food containing healthy ingredients.
Feed your dog a fresh raw food diet

Keep in mind that a Bull Mastiff is not an overly active dog, and doesn't necessarily need the same ingredients in his dog food that more a hyper breed might need. Just so's ya know.

Pro Plan! Most of the food goes in the animals muscles/body, this brand has little corn and lots of protein. This means a lot less clean up and his poop will be solid and easy to pick up. As I'm sure you already know, that big boy/girl will eat a lot and, well, you know what I'm getting at. Good Luck and thanks for rescuing!

My golden retriever eats Pro Plan because that is what the breeder told us to use. I also think Eukanuba and Iams are good brands. Try to get a kind that says for large dogs.
