He takes them and hides... Sometimes I find him licking them! I throw them away... I don't understand him. How should I get him to stop?

You can't, he is attracted to the blood. It's something they find alluring. That is why they smell your crotch when you get your period. To them it's like your in heat. You just have to make your tampons and pads less accessible.

Dogs like to have the smell of either their owners "stuff" and/or people in the house!!! It happens to us all of the time and we have 6 dogs!!! LOL We can't honestly understand it, ourselves so if you get a better answer, other than that's the nature of dogs, then let us know!!! I think this, along with they eat other dog's poop, cat poop, etc, grossed us out. You get "used" to it, if there is such a thing but that was probably the biggest surprise when we got our first dog, almost 13 years ago!!!

One more reason why I don’t let dogs lick my face.
Dogs are just like that … they socialize be smelling each others butt, drink out of toilet and if you have a cat they’ll often grab a treat from the litter box.
Menstruating women are at high risk around feral or wild animals … because they smell so … TASTY!

You'll never get him to stop. Its a dog thing, associated with the smell. To keep my dogs out of the bathroom trash, I put the trash can in the bath tub, before I go downstairs.

This is 'just one of those things' that doggies do.
Remember animals don't have the hang ups that humans do with personal body functions.
The odds are you won't break him, so you will have to put them where he can't get to him.
Those cute little metal trash cans with the flip top lids work best.
BTW Dogs who enjoy this, also will often have a passion for dirty under clothing too. You might want to put dirty panties and bras, in a secure hamper too.

It's like leaving a bloody steak out. It is what it is. You'll have to make an extra effort not to leave them in the trash where they can be found by Fido.

By not leaving them to the place he can reach. Cause a male dog tend to do these things. He smells your hormones and do these things by instict.

he can't do it if he can't find them. Tie them up in plastic bag and spray the bag with deodarent so that he can't sniff them out

Thats gross girl u should give him away if my dog did that i would cirtainly give him away .your dogs got a serious problem.
