Dogs - June 2006

At night I leave my 8 week old Shih Tzu in the laundry room with her crate open. She cries all the time so I bring her crate and her up to my room and let her sleep with me. Should I keep doing this?
What do I do to stop the cries and whine?

My dog loves to walk. Yesterday, we started out in a light sprinkle. A block down it began to sprinkle harder. Another block away, it was a light rain. Not cold rain, just a pleasant rain. We were having such a nice time, that we stayed in the rain for another block and turned around. Is it harmful to walk a dog in light rain?

My dog is 3. We've always had hardwood floors, but now we're in an apartment with wall-to-wall carpet and she is constantly licking the carpet. Her scat has carpet fibers in it - weird dog?

Which is worse, feeding a dog canned cat food for a week or feeding it pizza, fried chicken (no bones) and steak?

I have a bet that dogs won't be harmed on either diet since it's only for a week.

I have A dog on prozac because she is mean to the other dogs. It doesnt seem to help her any. We call her EBONIZER for a reason lol Any suggestions to help with bad behavior habits. Possibly a vet out there.

My dog, who lives outside, is eating charcoal. If you're wondering why the charcoal is even there, it's because we discard the charcoal from the grill and leave in a compost pile. I just noticed the other day that my dog likes to drop by the pile and pick up a bute of charcoal to eat. Why is she doing this? Does it help to cleanse her immune system or something? Has anyone heard of a dog doing this before? I think she's lost it.
