My dog is part chihauhau an part terrier. When we have company she barks and growls the whole time they are at our house. If they come near me she bites at their legs and ankles. She has never bit hard, but I'm scared that she might one of these days. How can I break her of this? She also goes potty in the house at times. When I find the mess she tucks her tail and literally cries. What can I do??

My friend's getting a new pup for her birthday!! She wants me to help her pick out a name. I only got a few but she doesn't really like them. She likes unique, exotic names. Got any?

My favorite pet was a little brown and white dog named Spot. One day Spot got hit by a car and died. It was my first experience with death.

He has had medications & this did not work. Vet said to starve him for 48hours. This seemed to work for 10days or so. This is third time he has suffered with it in 2 years. The first time there was lots of blood in his stools and vomit. This time just in his stools and he was completley of his food. And he is obviously feeling and looking tired. Blood tests have been taken and they are negative. It is now poss vets would do xrays etc. Would probiotics help?

I have a Golden Retriever puppy (1 1/2 years old) and she climbs on the table and eats everything off of it when you're not looking for a second- I don't know what to do.

tomorrow i'm going to my grandma's house for a week and her dog is always barking at me and growls every once in awhile. somebody told me it's not a big deal and the dog wouldn't hurt me since I do nothing to the dog. Others say to be careful. What can I do if that dog comes up to me and starts to growl at me or something? (By the way, this will also be helpful to know when I go on exercising around the neighborhood.)

We are picking up our puppy tomorrow from his foster home, and I'm just wondering about how long will it take to potty train him. They said he is still squatting when he urinates, indicating that he's pretty young. He is a Yellow Lab mix. Also, he isn't fixed yet, we have to take him in next week for his surgery.

I have a wonderful dog (he is 12 months old) who is a saluki/greyhound. He is very thin, all his injections are up to date, he is wormed regularly and he is fed good quality suitable food. Unfortunately his hip bones are still showing - is this normal? any advice on feeding him up slightly?

My miniture poodle refuses to eat anything, even after going for a walk and running around. I tried giving her cooked chicken & all sorts of things, but all she'll do is sniff the food and turn around. I'm starting to worry that she is just plain anorexic. Are there any suggestions to make her more hungry so she'll eat?

I was travellin to chile and noticed a huge amount of stray dogs everywhere. most of them seemed rather friendly and didn't look like they were starving, what do these beautiful animals eat? doesn't a country like chile have some kind of shelters? please answer as I am tormented by this!

My 4 month old puppy recently developed little red bumps on his chin and on the back of his legs. They don't seem to bother him at all, it doesn't seem they itch and I know he doesn't mind me touching them. It may be important to note that he isn't losing any hair either. At first I thought they were bug bites, but they seems to have been around too long. I did some searching and for the most part I'm under the impression that this isn't really something to be worried about, most sites I saw described them as "pimples" that will go away on their own. Does anyone have expirience with this? Obviously I can take him to the vet if the situation warrants it, I just don't want to have to make an unnecessary trip.
