My 4 month old puppy recently developed little red bumps on his chin and on the back of his legs. They don't seem to bother him at all, it doesn't seem they itch and I know he doesn't mind me touching them. It may be important to note that he isn't losing any hair either. At first I thought they were bug bites, but they seems to have been around too long. I did some searching and for the most part I'm under the impression that this isn't really something to be worried about, most sites I saw described them as "pimples" that will go away on their own. Does anyone have expirience with this? Obviously I can take him to the vet if the situation warrants it, I just don't want to have to make an unnecessary trip.

Can be Puppy Pyoderma. Clears up faster and easier with antibiotics. Sometimes without treatment, it can spread and become a deeper infection that becomes much more costly to clear up.

My Pitbull had soemthing similar to what your puppy has only the bumps my puppy had turned into white spots and still the hair is gone.....I heard that it might could possibly be a skin fungus. and there is a cream or some sort of ointment for it to help them go away and prevent them from coming back.
