This question may sound very strange. My 1.5 yr. female doxie was due for her period in April, but she never started. There is no possible way that she's pregnant. Should I worry about this?

I realize that in women, those with low body weights are prone to this condition. She is very small, but within the normal weight range of a dachshund.

Does a goldendoodle, for instance, still have an insane drive to retreive anything? (like a golden retreiver does) Do they naturally want to sniff out birds or anything else they can find? Or do they eat out of china, whine, pee/poo indoors, wear knit sweaters, and fear everything? Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know the standard poodle was originally a hunting dog, but in recent history, I suspect not many have actually had a downed bird in their mouth. Thanks

I've been having a hard time finding a dog groomer. I took my puppy to petsmart and had a bad experience and refuse to go back. I found another groomer that I would have liked to try but I only want them to trim her and trim her nails. I don't want them to bathe her. When I called I told them that I would like to bathe her before I bring her in and I just need them to groom her. They refused to do this and I don't understand why. Considering the bad experience I had with the previous groomer, I would like to do all that I can on my own. I do not mind paying the full price. Why do you think they would not except this?

I have a short hair lab mix who lives inside the home. He is shedding so bad that my floors, tables furniture... everything.. is covered with hair by morning. Is this even normal?

I have another dog of the same breed but she's rarely ever shed.

He's about 7-8 months old. Could it be "puppy hair" shed? How can I make it stop??

Why does my chihuahua chew at her feet? She will chew for hours if I don't stop her. She also rubs her back raw under the furniture, she doesn't have fleas so that is not the problem..what else could it be?

My little buddy he is 5 months old he does not like dry food. He smells it then leave it alone. I am not feeding him anything else because I know dry food is the best food for him and the healthiest I hope that if he gets hungry enough he will eat it and get used to it. What I need to know is can I use the same dry food at night or does it go off.

thank you.

...last night supposedly my fiance's dog "ejaculated" all over my fiance's room while my fiance was sleeping. My fiance woke up at like 2:45AM and saw his dog breathing hard and basically "humping" the bed. Is it possible for dogs to have wet dreams??? This is a serious question.

my wife spends alot more time with her, and feeds/waters/walks her during the day.

But when I am home that dog gravitates to me. Practically smothers me, she cant ever seem to get "close" enough to me, to the point where she wants to lay on me.

Why does she not show this much devotion to my wife. In fact, if I pet her, and wife comes over to me, she will growl the slightest growl, as if to say, get away from him.

How can we correct this behavior?

I spend too many hours a day using the "scooper" I figure it would be easier to keep the yard cleanof seven dogs if I just litter box trained the dogs. Has anybody had any success with that?
