A mother dog will eat her puppies feces when they are very small to keep them clean and stimulate their bodily functions. The only dog I have ever seen eat their own feces are animals who are not being properly fed. I am talking about their own. Dogs love horse manure. Gross but true.

If boo-boo means feces, then yes. Especially puppies and female dogs more than males. There is actually a name for this. We tried putting Adolph's meat tenderizer on her food, which made her normally delicious poop gross, and she stopped eating it. My vet told me this secret. Gross, but common. hee hee

Sometimes dog also eat there feces when they have some sort of vitamin deficiencies. If they are not being fed properly or the right kind of food they will do this sometimes.
