This is normal behavior for a dog, male or female. Having her spayed if she hasn't been already might help, or it might not.

Humping is not good. Haven't you been watching the Dog Whisperer? Humping shows disrespect and dominance. Lassie needs a little training before she or he gets out of hand. Yes female dogs hump too.

Dogs occasionally do that no matter male or female. The reason for it is it is wanting to play or wants attention from you. It will eventually stop. Nuetering will not solve the problem. It does nothing. A spayed female dog will even "hump" your leg or whatever it is. You can get a repellent spray/lotion to put on ur leg or u can just say in a stern voice "NO!" and kind of nudge the dog off.

Try to push back your dog with your knee when he starts to hump you, do this everytime and he will learn that you do not like him humping you. If he humps other stuff (not only people), try to push him back everytime he does that and sooner or later he will learn that it is not a wanted behavior. Dogs trying to hump humans is a sign of domination on their part so it is not good to let the dog do it to humans all the time.

I have a Maltese that had a brown teddy bear stuffed animal which he humped daily. Finally, his hips started bothering him. The vet said to take his "girlfriend" away before his hips get worse! So we did! She's on a shelf in the garage. Sometimes I ask my husband if we can just bring her in the house Sat. nite. I feel bad for our little Maltese. My husband says NO! Humping is normal as long as it's not people's legs! People sometimes get annoyed. . . .

All dogs want attention and this is just another way a dog does that. I know it can get really gross if a guy dog does it, but you can just get some spray or teach them not to hump you by using a high frequency whistle

My dog humps things too. He does it to mark his territory and to warn other dogs to back off. He humps, pillows, slippers, other dogs (lol),anything he feels threatned by.

Dogs do that... If you get it fixed then that usually stops it from humping... you know because they probably wont want to after that...
