So I noticed a behavioral change in my cat around the same time I got pregnant. She used to not drink her water unless the bowl was filled completely to the brim. Then suddenly, she started sticking her paws in it, then it turned into nudging causing the water to spill everywhere! I've tried to place a mat underneath, and that just leaves me with a constant wet mess, and it's causing mildew. YUCK! I tried a heavier bowl, but I guess she is supercat, and is still able to knock it over. I'm so tired of the wet mess and constantly refilling her bowl. Aside from being extremely odd, I have never had any sort of problems with her before, and she has always been a perfectly behaved cat. What can I do????????????

She has tabby face and tail markings but the rest is a dark grey. She is quite feisty and was the runt of the litter. My other cats are Willow, Sophie, Plato and Maya.

I tooke her to the vet yesterday, and the doctor said the prognosis is not good. She has a lot of fluid in her stomach and he thinks it's liver problems. I think he is going to suggest that I put her to sleep. She is only 10 years old. I did not think that was that old for a cat. I spent the night crying and I feel really bad today. It seems like only yesterday that I got her and now, already, she may be gone from my life. I feel so sad.

Mama just had ONE kitten on Oct. 7th. It opened its eyes on Oct. 15th, and it started walking (kinda) on Oct. 26th. It can now climb out of its box. Mama also had a litter on May 20th, and she and her first litter were strays (but the Oct. 7th baby was born in our garage). We built Mama, Shadow (5 month female from Mama's 1st litter), and the new baby two cages that can be easily joined and seperated. We keep them in at night. Mama wont nurse he baby! Do I bottle feed it? Am I just being overprotective? How do I make sure that the baby is getting enough nurishment?

My kittens are 10 months old and have never done the toilet outside, they are happy to go out and seem relaxed enough, but they come running in to use the litter tray in the house!

We just got her. Things are not getting worse. She is eating great, no troubles with going to the bathroom. Should I bring to the vets right away or hold off till things get better or worse. Finances are tough, so it does effect my decision. It would be nice to rule out something bad and wait it out.

My two kittens are about 14 weeks old. We introduced them to collars last week and after a day of tantrums they're fine with them.

I want to harness and leash them so I can take them out into the garden safely (there are a lot of big, rough cats around, and careless drivers, etc) as they're itching to go out and explore, and one of them has found out that it's fun to run away and play 'It' with us!
What would be a good age to put harnesses on them? I know they're likely to hate the harness at first, but they'd soon get used to them when they learn that leash means going outside, so that aspect doesn't worry me.

My ginger cat Baz, who is always, even at 11 years old, happy and bouncy. For 2 weeks now he has seemed very low in spirits. I've taken him to the vets, who said he was fit and healthy, but offered to give him "cat Valium". I don't wanted a drug dependant cat but what else can I do?

We bought a rspca cat, which they said to us was around 6 years old, her breath is a killer, she is the nicest mog and very loving but she can kill at 50 meters! We noticed that her tounge stuck out a little! The vet said that he would give her a dental, They said that her teeth was covered in plaque, which they had cleaned off. The smell went away for a couple of weeks but then came back, that was a year ago and she still has bad breath and she tends to dribble! Tilly is a big cat not fat just big she eats well and is always wormed, please can anyone come up with a answer that doesn't cost the earth??

Is it inappropriate to have sex in front of your cat ?
Do you think it's harmful for your pet to be exposed to your lovemaking?
I really strive to be a good responsible pet owner, and I don't want to act in a irresponsible manner. Does the age, and maturity level of the animal matter?
My cats seem hesitant, and unwilling to share there true feelings on the matter.
My wife and I enjoy having sex all around the house (and inside as well), but we would be willing to restrict ourselves to a close door bedroom arrangement if necessary. Are cats are our children, and we love them both dearly.

my cat's constant companion, an older cat of ours, reently passed away (he was 19!). since then, my cat has been acting differently. he cries alot and seems to run and hide when you come near him. knowing my cat, that's unusual behavior, as he's very loving and affectionate, and relatively quiet. we do have another cat but he just seems to ignore her now. is it possible he's going through a grieving stage? how can i help him out?

my cat likes to use my couch as a scratch board, even though he has a actual scratch board of his own that he uses frequently, he also has his own bed that he sleeps in frequently, but he still sleeps on my couch. If anyone has any tips to help break my cat of these habits, I would greatly appreciate it.

My cat is injuried don't know if his temporarily paralyze. His nails are all scratched up. His belly is swollen. I am a first time cat own. I took him to the vet and the vet gave him a shot of steroids along with a prescription of prednisone. I do not know what the prescription it is for. The vet wanted to run some test & take X-rays. If i had the money it would have came up to about $300. I am on a fixed income with four children we live in a very small community. It was hard for me not to let the vet do his job. Can someone who has been through the same experiment PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

My cat is 10 and is a mostly indoor cat. My roomate just moved in a month ago with a big labrador retreiver who is almost two. The dog wants to be friends, but whenver the dog appraoches the cat, she hisses and swats at him. Whenever they are even on the same floor of the house, my cat hides and growls. Will they ever be buddies? I have major puss-y problems!! (and I mean that seriously!)

My cat goes to the vet like, around every couple of months. That's when he starts coughing and sneezing and green snot comes out of his nose and he starts losing hair on his back end and behind his ears. He itches so bad that he makes himself bleed and gets scabs all over. He bring him to the vet just about every other month and it's REALLY starting to wear on us. We LOVE him, he's our little buddy, but is there any way we can maintain a healthy lifestyle for him to keep him in peak shape? He's 10 years old and healthy otherwise. Is there any food or suppliment that you could suggest that I could use on my little bugger? ANYTHING. He's such a nice cat and I hate to see him go through this, you know? I almost want to cry.... Please, I'll take just about any suggestion and try it.
