Just curious. I have been soaking my dogs food before I give it to them to help prevent bloat from happening. Along with having them wait 15 - 30 minutes quietly in their crate before eating and the same after eating before getting to play again.

Just curious to see if I am the only one or if anyone else does this as well...

I know it's normal for puppies to widdle when they get excited
but when should they stop, my dog still does when he greets us sometimes, and he's nearly 10 months old.

We have a 10 year old shih tzu. About 2 months ago we got really worried when we discovered a large black tumor-like lump on the inside of the right side of his mouth. It would hang out of his mouth and look really disgusting. A week later we got it removed and stitched up. The doctors didn't know what to think about it, and later came to the conclusion that there was a 50% chance that it was cancer.

They said if it was cancer that it would reoccur on his neck.

He's a really healthy dogged. Raised on nothing but healthy dog food, and a scatter bit of our food every now and then. He has just as much energy as he did when he was 4 years old. It's really amazing. He tends to sleep a lot now, but he still has the energy.

We found a smaller version of the lump we removed in the same spot today...

Could it be cancer? Or could it not have been removed good enough?

We're only putting him down when he's in pain, but we can't spend $100s after $100s on these lumps...

It's so hard.

She was a stray/possible Maine Coon mix and was outdoors before she adopted our house as her home. She fights and claws and tears me up when I try to give her needed medications (right now, ear drops) from the vets. She hates being picked up and is about 7 years old (vets approximation), so I doubt that'll change. Any suggestions on how to make this an easier process?

I was wondering if DECON MOUSE KILLER would poison my cats if they ate a mouse who eat DECON.

And if it wont hurt cats will it hurt 4 month old kittens?

I started volunteering at my Humane Society and it's a lot of fun. Sometimes I play with the cats or clean cat cages. There are two cross-eyed cats.

Well anyway, both times I have held them and played with them they have been very sweet and the info on their charts also says they are very nice. The other day I was telling my dad about them and how I hoped the one was going to get adopted I mentioned he was cross-eyed. My dad freaked out! He said "Cross-eyed cats are crazy mean. Be careful. Stay away from them." Then I asked if he was basing this off one bad expierience and he said no.

Anyway I was just wondering if cross-eyed cats have a stereotype for being mean? My dad can be really weird sometimes and once he forms and opinion he refuses to change his mind but the two I know are sweet. Thanks!

there's only been her and a rainbow danio in the tank for at least 2 months! There've never been any male mollies in the tank. How on earth has she managed this feat? Also, what are the chances of any babies surviving without a net breeder? Thanks.

I want to breed a thoroughbred dog. I want to breed japanese akitas. Are they easy to train, or do they learn bad behavior easily? I love akitas and that is what breeding should be about, love for the animal, but I don't want to raise mean dogs.

i am curious about the protein levels in certain dog foods. i am not looking to change dog foods, am perfectly happy with what my dog is eating. my sister is researching dog foods and came across the Evo and Innova brands. she was asking me why the Evo brand has like 43% protein and the Innova has like 25%. is such a high proteind good for dogs? i know my dogs food (canidae) has i think 23% protein. why the huge difference in evo/innova, and is it good for a dog to have that much protein? thanks in advance. i tried searching for a question similar to this and couldn't find it...
