How can i convince my landlord to let me get a cat. He is a laid back guy, not too-too strict, but he won't allow me to get a cat because he says there is hair everywhere then. Any suggestions to how i should convince him?

The problem I have is that whenever I purchase plants for the tank my three RES's dig them up and eat them. While I have pretty much gotten the digging up problem solved I was wondering if anyone knows of plants that RES's don't really like eating that aren't actually poisonous to them? I love the look of plants in my tank, but they usually are all eaten by about the third day and I have to replace them. Any ideas of plants that RES's don't find too tasty?

The most recent pit bull incident inspired me to do some research online, and the preliminary results say that even though pitbulls do not necessarily rank first on "dog bites" per year, they are in the top two for "deadliest". They are simply a very strong, very fierce breed, so an attack can have very serious results, and sometimes turn deadly. What is your opinion on whether this breed should be outlawed in your state? We are breeding our female Boston Terrier for the first time. she is 2 and a half years old. This is her 3rd heat. We have never bred a dog before and we have a few questions.

First, how long do they stay in heat on average. We noticed her last heat lasted approx. 14-15 days. Also, we were wondering how long the gestation lasts. And how many puppies can we expect.

Our neighbours' basset are having intense issues with it's anial glands - has had frequent infections, , gets them empties regually, but it sonessn't help the licking etc , once when emptied they even had blood in the excretion... The vet sugested an operation to remove the glands, ... Does anyone have any imput on such a topic ?? Please????

i have a 75 gallon aquarium that just wont clear up no matter what i do. i have tried keeping it extra clean, changing filters often, and all those "clarifying" products. someone i know suggested that the sand i use is clouding it up. but he has the same sand and his tank is crystal clear. so i have to discount his opinion. i have about 25 small fish(guppies, neon tetras, jumbo tetras), two cory catfish, three black tipped sharks, two chinese algae eaters, three miniature frogs, and 6 ghost shrimp. i use a marineland 350 with 2 biowheels for filtration, and have two large air pumps pumping plenty of air in. can anyone help?

There is 5 total , one of them is very shy and when you feed them he waits until your gone to eat.... I believe the whole litter was neglected.. Does any body have any ideas how to help this little guy, I want him to find a great home, but he needs to come out of his shell.. we have been spending extra time with him... they are all going to the vet wedsday to get fixed and have there first shots and then we well begin the adoption process..I want to make sure that he well be able to love a new family ...
