Neither a pictus nor a pleco will live with Comets. First of all anything that eats algae will kill the Comets by eating ths slime coating off of your fish. However....Comets will eat algae if you leave them slightly hungy. Duckweed will help offset the problem and feed your Comets at the same time.

Very VERY little can live with any goldfish but NEVER a pictus or pleco.

Well your pictus and the pleco are going to need a heater and a tropical environment. Since you have komets i'm assuming that you don't have a heater... A Pleco can get up to 2 feet long so you would need a large tank. Pictus catfish need alot of extra care... different food and such. Hope I helped a little...

Neither can live with goldfish. Pictus cats and plecos are tropical and goldfish are coldwater. Either way 1 or the other is going to suffer. If you need to get rid of algae get an algae scraper.

Pictus is a bottom feeding meat eater - he won't help with your algae. A pleco would be better for your needs, though the best algae eater is still a little bit of elbow grease.

the goldfish will eat algae, you should not put either of the fish mentioned with goldfish, they are carniverous and sooner or later will harm your goldfish (one of their favorite things is to suck out the goldfish's eyes)

the pictus cat will do the job and get along great with comets. Have a great year.
