Is it her ears?
Floppy eared dogs (like your's) often get ear infections that can be fungal or bacterial or even just simple ear mites---and this smells baaaaad!

First know there are conditions where it's not the coat, mostly to have a better smelling dog start with the insides. Food, what food are you feeding your dog? Are they getting proper food, also are you keeping there food air tight? Remember once light and air get to the food the properties of that high end food are zero. I suggest NUPRO or Missinglink and since your dog is 14 go with the Joint or PLUS on those. Either will work to clean the dog from the inside out, the smell will go away as will there health will increase and a better coat.

I don't think there is much you can do. Dogs produce an oil in their skin that does smell when it collects, so even if you wash her it is only a matter of time before the oil collects on her skin and coat again, thus creating the smell.

Believe it or not dogs have anal sacs that contain a pungent odor that they use to mark their territory.
The saks can become plugged and the dog is uncomfortable and stinky, although not untolerable. If the dog is rocking on its butt, that's the problem.
If these are symptoms, you can "milk" the sacs (disgusting) giving the dog relief and help rid the smell too.

Give her a bath with some shampoo especially for odor control.
Then regularly wipe her down with spray on coat conditioner. Brush her lightly just after the coat conditioner.
There are moist wipes that you can use in between groomings.

give her a bath and use plenty of dog soap. clean her ears out with a cloth. there is some stuff u can get from your vet that u just squirt in there ears and then they have med. u put on after u clean them with the sqirt stuff. they have some dog cologne you can spray on dogs. u can get it from your vet and from walmart but its cheaper at wal-mart and its the same thing. brush her hair because they can get burs, stickers, and dirt and sand under there. if she still stinks then call your vet and ask them. hope this helped.

The smell could be from rotten teeth or skin problems. Probably not much you can do about it considering her age. Could be time to put her to sleep.

It depends on where the smell is from. Try shaving her down a little.

You didn't mention how often you bathe her. Check her ears - they may be the cause if she has an infection.
