Are you referring to the Siamese fighting fish? AKA bettas tend to be very aggressive towards all fish. Even breeding is violent and requires the female to be removed after she lays the eggs in the bubble nest built by the male. Mine are all separated one per gallon. The males are beautiful though. Good luck on your quest. Have a great year.

It relies upon on what form of fish there are in the tank; some are aggressive themselves, some may even see the betta as a objective with its lengthy flowing fins...only seem ahead to the first few hours and ensure there is not any longer some thing substantial going on, then keep an in intensity eye for the subsequent few days. it truly is Siamese scuffling with Fish, BTW.

There is no such fish as a Japanese fighting fish. But Siamese fighting fish will only kill other fish with long flowing fins. Avoid keeping them with fish such as gouramis and fancy guppies. Anything with short fins will be just fine.

Betta's like to nibble fins, they tend to leave the faster moving fish alone. They can live in a community tank as long as there are no other slow moving long finned fish. Good luck.

If you mean male bettas, they only fight each other, bettas can live with other species of freshwater fish in the same tank with no probs.
