I HAVE A MALE AND FEMAL GUPPIE THE FEMAL IS PREGNANT I DID NOT NOTICE WHEN SHE GOT PREGNANT
BUT HER BELLY IS GETING BIG EVERY DAY SHOULD I PUT HER IN THE BREEDING NEST OR SHOULD I WAIT LONGER ....ALSO I HAD PUT MY MALE IN THE BREEDING NET FOR NOW BECAUSE HE KEEPS CHASEING THE FEMALE AND TRYS TO GET UNDER HER AND MY FEMALE IS GETTING STRESS OUT..... WHAT SHOULD I DO

If you want to keep the babies, I would put her in the breeding net, that way the babies stay contained, and you can just pull her out. You do need something in there for the babies to hide in when they are born, because she will eat them too. If you get another female that would help keep him off of the pregnant one. I never seperate my pregnant fish, I just put lots of plants in the tank for the babies to hide in. I also have more than one female so that one doesn't get bugged to death. That can happen.

To keep the male from harassing her, pregnant or not, you need to either separate them or buy more females. If you keep a ratio of 2 or 3 females for each male it should spread his attentions so no one female is being run ragged.

Are you wanting to save the babies? If so, you should buy another tank since that would be less stressful for the female than the little trap, and after she gives birth, you should take her out too -- any adult guppy, including the mother, will eat fry. If you can, keep moving the male instead of the female, since the stress of being moved could make her deliver prematurely.

add a couple more female guppies so the male has more to chase and the girls can rest once in a while
