Do you need to get a perrmit to own and alaskan klee kai?

I've been thinking of getting one and i heard that you need a permit. Is it true?

I know that if you must be approved by the breeder for a Klee Kai since they are very strict about breeding this dog. You can probably get one that has been determined unfit to breed more easily but they will be spayed or neutured before being released to you.

it's just a dog for crying out loud, why would you need a permit to own one?

Nearly every community has some requirement that pets are licensed.
