i have purchased 3 swordtails, 2 female 1 male, yesterday and one of the females seems to have given birth to about 2 fry.. that i saw, however i was unaware she was pregnant and now the fry are in my 36 gallon community tank o.O and not to be seen other than the rare occasion that they swim out.

what i was wondering is how i would go about caring for them in the community tank because there is almost no way for me to catch them (unless you suggest a way).. not even see them really

i know i may need a breeding nest of some sort but i was wondering if there is a chance for them to survive with out one?

2nd question: ive heard of many sword tail females giving brith and although im happy mine did give 2 im afraid they will give birth again, or even breed again, i love swordtails but i want my tank to stay a community tank and i cannot afford a second tank.. is there any ways to discourage breeding within the swordtails or anything to keep the amount of swordtails to around 3?

we have a ~4-5 y.o. female husky who we got from the shelter in october. she's settled in fine and is well-behaved, but she'll walk forever trying to find a good spot to poop. some days she'll refuse to even go near her somewhat regular spots repeatedly, then poop on the carpet if we leave her alone for only an hour (like she just waited for us to leave). any ideas?

her routine: she lives in an apartment. walks are between 15min and 40min depending on the time of day. she gets walked four or more times a day, both before we leave and as soon as we get home. we take her running occasionally but she gets bored/tired pretty quickly. longest periods alone are 4 to 5 hours 3 mornings a week and most days she does fine. she has regular indoor play, likes to sit on the balcony and watch the squirrels and people, every couple weekends she goes to our parents houses and plays in the yard, every 2-3 weeks we take a long walk with her black lab friend across the hall.

My cat received an injection in her right hind leg ysterday. She is now walking with a limp and seems to be walking on her hunch instead of her foot. It apears to mimic foot drop in a human. I haven't returned to the vet yet. I need help on treatment and prognosis ASAP.

I need brine shrimp eggs for these hatching eggs. But I don't have any. Either I can make fresh brine shrimp eggs, or find some.

My cat has agoraphobia, which is very frustrating for me, as I have a big garden. He may have been an indoor cat I never bothered to ask at the rescue centre. Anyway, is there a cure? I've had him for a year now, and the only time he goes out the garden is when I'm also there (to protect him!) The thought off having to buy cat litter for the rest off his nine lives...hmmmm?

It keeps streching it's neck and opening it's mouth. He's not making any noise. It kind of looks like choking. He's new so usually when we come close to him he stops doing whatever he was doing and stares at us. But when we come close now he still keep doing this. Is this just what birds do?

Current Situation: 1 Betta, 2.5 gallon tank, filtered, heated, stress coat used to dechlorinate the water.

Was in unheated fishbowl. Wasn't eating. Wasn't swimming. Bought the new tank w/ heater. Added a tetra in with him. Things were better. Was eating and active. Things were ok. Recently he has been chansing the tetra all the time. Noticed betta's fins looked different. Were "drying out." Looked shorter. Part was missing. Tetra was not attacking the betta.

Seperated them. Now the betta has the tank, heater, filter, etc.

Will his fins get better? What else could I do?

The pics in the links show him now:

In this pic, you can see the tail fins are small.

In this pic, you can see him flaring. The dorsal fin is missing some of the pieces.
