I agree... Please go to the Papillon Club of America's website and find a breeder in your area. These will be the most reliable, reputable breeders you can find and probably have the best looking Papillons in the US. A good breeder will not just sell the pup and forget about it - you will always be able to go back to them with questions & concerns. They should also guarantee the puppy for probably a couple of years at least!!! NEVER EVER EVER BUY A PUPPY FROM A PET STORE... Please!! There are way too many reasons to list. Here is the PCA breeder list: http://www.papillonclub.org/pcabreederslist.htm Scroll down to New Jersey and there are quite a few breeders listed.

Another good option is to rescue a Papillon. There are always dogs that need to be rescued. Go to this website: http://www.papillonclub.org/rescue/. Or check around at animal shelters and Humane Societies.

If you are curious as to why you shouldn't buy a puppy from a pet shop you can start here: http://www.diamondpaws.com/goodowner/dontbuy.htm

Good luck!!

regularly, once you're interested in a purebred doggy you will desire to purely purchase from a breeder after doing a sprint learn. After some calls to the breeder, and ideally vacationing the the breeder's canines although that's not conceivable, you will desire to be waiting to tell once you're coping with the real element or some doggy mill rip-off. Many doggies at such shops *are* purebreds, yet they are oftentimes badly bred and don't incorporate a vet examine, well being assure, etc and are overpriced. you moreover would have no clue as to what their confirm's temperaments have been. What breeder worth their salt could sell their doggies to take a seat in a field at a puppy keep? ETA: additionally, they don't checklist their breeders. pink flag, dontcha think of? ETA2: I even have been to a save that bought doggies. Like I reported above, no breeder worth their salt could try this to any of their doggies. You asked if that's a reliable place to purchase a doggy, we are announcing in all danger not.

Go online to the Papillion Club of America and check out their breeders referral list. Often a reputable breeder will have a puppy for sale that just didn't quite make it as a show dog but is still of good quallity at an afforadable price.
