My cats haven't been inside in 6 months but I have fleas, is there a way to get rid of them yourself (without having an exterminator?)

I have a question about dogs with demodex.

I am currently feeding my dogs raw, I buy the meat from a butcher.
I've been feeding them raw for about 3 months now, because I "thought" it was good for dogs with mange, that's what someone told me.
But now someone told me the opposite, the lady who is helping me treat my dog with mange told me that dogs with genetically impaired immune system should not eat it, it's more than a dog with a genetically impaired immune system can typically deal with and you kind of open the door for all kinds of serious problems.

She is not against it, she just don't reccomend raw for dogs with weak immune system.

I would like to know what you guys think. Does anyone here with a dog with mange feed raw?

I am really curious now, I wanna do whats best for my dog, she also suggested me to homecook for her.

Some things that I noticed is that my dachshund looks much healthier with raw, her coat is perfect, more energy. my pits coat is not so great,

It must be such a wonderful doggy life. They get to run around the White House, fly in Air Force One, eat President approved dog food, sleep in doggy beds. Do you think it's like that for them? Maybe?

Is it normal for cocaktiel to move back and forth before laying an egg? MY bird has laid eggs before in fact she has three right now. SHe was kind of fluffed up when i saw her in the morning. SO i kept her in a warm place. After a few hours, she was not fluffed as much as she was in the morning. She started moving back and forth for some reason . SHe did this right after she got better from the fluffiness. Now she looks ok but her wings are low. Is she going to lay another egg by tomorow? I dont check on eggs often so i dont know when she laid the 3rd egg. It could be today, yesterday or the day before. I also heard its a sympton of egg binding. I cant get to a vet. Is tehre any way i can help her? some person told me to put oil in her vent area. Is that ok to do?

Have you ever had your bird do this before laying an egg? If u did when did she lay the egg?
Plz reply ASAP!
thnx

I just got a betta, and I have some questions:

1. What food do bettas normally eat? I bought it TetraMin, but is that the right thing? I fed it to my betta (named Bob) and he just spit it out. Is that the wrong food?

2. How often should I change the water? I have a fishbowl about the size of a small watermelon, with rainbow colored rocks on the bottom. It's been about a week. And HOW do I change the water?

3. Where is a good place to keep my fish? In my room? In the kitchen? In a sunny place? Where!?

Thanks, and please reply ASAP if you know any of the above answers. Thanks!

This is a sequel to my own question last night about my 3-1/2 yr old GSD who is currently experiencing separation anxiety from my wife who he considers his mother and my son who he considers his brother. Any attempt to communicate with him on food comes back with a snarl. But when called to play ball or tug-of-war or for ice-cream, he comes running. I also sometimes doubt that the cooked food he gets to eat is not good to his taste because even when my wife feeds him, he does it with a lot of fuss and not happily.

Alex, my 2 yr old male cat, is very playful and can play rough with me even sometimes. i have recently saved another cat and introduced her into my home. At first, she was very sick and unhealthy and he was by her side and i guess he sensed how weak and pathetic she was. now that she is better, i feel that he views her as a threat now and needs to prove himself. i've read countless message boards that all said one cat needs to establish dominence, etc....my question, is when will it stop?? he's already shown that he runs the show so to speak, but everytime she comes out of the room, he has to chase her and back her into a corner then proceeds to swat her. he doesn't make any noises; no hissing, or screaming, nothing. it is she that does that. i cannot keep them separated anymore..it has been three weeks already - we must go on with life. please let me know if you have any recommendations or advice....thanks.

I do have a lot of sympathy for those birds at this time of year, knowing what conditions they're bred and slaughtered in (I get info from PETA).

Have you seen that advertisement for Nigella's TV program (UK), featuring a white turkey walking up to her house singing 'I want to be loved by you' and ending up on a dish? I think it's disgusting.

Part of our Christmas decorations is a soft toy turkey on which we put a bib at Christmas, just to make a point!

Obviously, people should be free to eat what they want and I don't expect everyone to follow my lead, but our human traditions cause so much suffering among the animal kingdom, it just isn't right. Traditions are being exploited to the limit by money-makers and that always entails someone or something suffering somewhere...
Sorry, I do go on a bit at money-driven people but I know deep down I should feel sorry for them, not knowing the meaning of life...
