While originally bred for fighting, they were later down bred for companionship. The modern Boston Terrier can be gentle, alert, expressive, and well-mannered. Many still retain the spunky attitude of the typical terrier. They were originally a cross-breed between the White English Terrier (now extinct) and an English Bulldog. Some Bostons enjoy having another one for companionship. Both females and males generally bark only when necessary. Having been bred as a companion dog, they enjoy being around people, and if properly socialized get along well with children, other canines, and non-canine pets. Boston Terriers can be very cuddly, while others are more independent. Boston Terriers are known to lick the faces of their owners excessively.

Both breed are awesome I have a French Bull Dog so naturally that is my choice however a french is a lot more expensive than a Boston consider your budget also French Bulls can have some health issues more so than the Boston make sure you buy from somebody reputable and knowledgeable

No-- completely different breeds.
If u have seen the Frontline commercial the black and white dog is a boston terrier and on that mtv show "Rob & Big" their white dog is a bulldog (english bulldog).

No way, some people think it is the same breed but they only have the same body struture(sp?) and well they are not a dog fanatic i tell you no offence to them :P anyway you can check the pics of the 2 dogs if you want to see the differnce. :D hope that helped, about the spelling part... i was not a good speller :/ oh well hope that helped... :P

No they are two different dogs with completely different personalities. Bull dogs grunt and slobber. They are also a little bigger.♥

They are two totally separate breeds... also people often think my pug is a bulldog.
