I was feeding these kittens in my compound and after they were done they started meowing really loudly so i gave them my fingers which smelled of chicken (i know that was stupid) so one kitten ended up putting a finger in her mouth which got scratched, alittle bit of blood came out. but i washed the wound well and put iodine over it and then saniplasted it. What do i do? Will i get rabies if i dont get the tetanus injection...it was just a kitten,right , it cant get me rabies can it?

My dog licks her leg raw, we have taken her to the vet and they told us to give her this cream, but it doent work, we have resolved to putting a cone on her head 24/7, after her leg healed she started all over again. what is this caused from and what can I do ?

Mine is up in his golden years. Ever since deer season started my dog has been acting weird. Part of this problem was the guns. But I have never seen him this bad. He shakes real bad and just wants a place to hide. I found him in my parents' closet laying down shaking like a leaf. It used to be that he was only afraid of guns, thunder, and fireworks. You move any furniture, anything he gets skittish. I dropped a pen on the floor and you might as well thought the world ended.

Anyone help me on this? I'm lost

WE'VE HAD OUR CAT SAMANTHA SINCE SHE WAS A BABY. SHE WAS A STRAY WE SAVED FROM BEING HIT BY A CAR. SHES A SWEETHEART VERY LOVING BUT SHE GETS IN TO ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING. ITS CHRISTMAS TIME AND WE JUST PUT A TREE UP AND SHES CLIMBING IT AND TEARING IT UP BUT THATS ONLY HALF OF IT. WHEN SHE STARTS TO CAUSE TROUBLE WE TELL HER "NO" AND GET UP TO GO AFTER HER AND SHE RUNS BUT 5 SECONDS LATER SHE GOES RIGHT BACK TO TRY TO ACCOMPLISH WHAT EVER TROUBLE SHE WAS TRYING TO CAUSE...SHES REALLY TESTING OUR PATIENCE AND YELLING THROWING SQISH BALLS AT HER TO GET HEER ATTENTION OR SWATTING HER DOESNT WORK NO MATTER WHAT WE DO ITS LIKE SHES NOT HAPPY UNTIL SHE GETS HER WAY!!!! WHAT DO WE DO TO GET HER TO BEHAVE???? AND ITS IT WRONG TO LOCK HER UP ALL DAY IN A BEDROOM WHEN WERE NOT HERE OR SLEEPING SIMPLY BECAUSE WE CANT TRUST HER TO BE ALONE????? We got this little kitty cause someone was evicted from our building and they left the kitty there all alone. We have given him a home in our house but the only thing is that he is always trying to suck on my arm, leg, back, stomach, anywhere there is skin. What can we do to make him stop. Sometimes it's cute but then at night it gets irritating when you are trying to sleep and he wants to be all up in our faces. HELP

my dog is almost 1 year old, but he has begun to bite when yelling "no" when he does something bad. we got him from the pound & they found him as a stray at 4 months. he had already been nutered, so we assume someone had him before. he has always had a trash problem, & at first we would give him spankings as advised by other dog owners, but we stoped when we saw that it wasnt really teaching him anything. we then would just yell at him & make him spend time outs in the garage. he always knows when he is doing bad things, and give us guilty look with his tail between his legs & he crouches down & crawls away. a week or so ago when dog did something really really bad, my husband threw him in the garage & went to give him a spaking, & dog but him- hard cutting my hubands hand badly. today he was digging in trash & i told him no and to go to his crate & when i went to lock it, he bit at me! i didnt touch him & he tried to bite me like 40 times. help!!!!

My year and a half old orange tabby was neutered at about 6 months of age, and before being fixed he never "sprayed". He was really well litter trained, never went anywhere other than the litter box. Until about a month ago, he ONLY went in his litterbox. All of a sudden, for about the last month, he has been urinating and defecating in very innapropriate places. I have had to lock him out of all the bedrooms unless there is someone actually IN the bed, or he will go on the beds. He is especially bad with visitors, going as far as to crawl into their suitcases and duffle bags to do his business!!! This I can kind of understand, he is probably angry or stressed out about the visitors. But why would he do it when they are not here??? And how can I get him to STOP before someone in the house insists that I get rid of him???

i got a cute little 7 week old chihuahua x shih-tzu from the pet store yesterday. she was $699 and then riduced to $230 i dont know why, she is so adorable!!! i have heaps of probs with her:
she has got kennel cough and her front left foot is limping
she is always hiding behind something
she is pooing and peeing all over my apartment
she growls at me when i pat her and when i hold her, she growls at my friends, she growls when i bend down to give her some dog food (not puppy - to expensive for me).

OK.... what do i give her for kennel cough, the pet store didnt give me anything 4 it?
what do i do for her because she is limping real bad and cries a lot when she walks???
HOW DO I TEACH HER TO GO POO IN A LITTER BOX?
why is she so shy? how do i get her to open up more?
WHY DOES SHE GOWL?

she is annoying when she barks so what can i do to get her to be quiet at night when she wakes me up?

what else do i need for her?

Earlier today around 5AM I was going to shop for black friday sales and all of that and a dog ran in front of my car and I hit him on accident. It was really dark and foggy out and I managed to slow down pretty fast to around 10-15 MPH but there wasnt really much I can do. I went back to see if he was in the road still and hopefully not dead and he wasn't so Im hoping hes fine but its killing me inside not knowing if hes okay or not since he left. My question is has anyone else hit a dog or any animal before? How long did it take to get over?
