I got a puppy yesterday. She is a lab mix around 12 weeks old or so. When i picked her out she was playful and all, now that I am home she has not shown any signs of that. She had lived outside since birth, but i am keepin her indoors. She is pretty much staying in a corner or behind my couch. Any ideas on how i can get her to not be so scared??

We bought our pom from a pet store about 5 1/2 years ago and when we bought him, we noticed that the tip of his tail was bent in a 90 degree angle. I was wondering if this could have been done to make his tale curl over his back. It makes me sad to think that someone could have done that. Then I wonder if my pom came from a puppy mill. I was clueless about puppy mills until recently.

I have a couple of questions. I had a blue-tongue skink once and I'm thinking about getting another. Also, I've considered maybe getting a bearded dragon, instead. If I choose the latter and I have to feed him crickets, then will I require a separate habitat for crickets? At certain times of the year we have an abundance of crickets around here. Is it safe to feed it those? Also, has anyone ever owned or does now presently own a bearded dragon? Any info about them and how they are as pets would be welcome.

Smokey is about 9 yrs old, and pebble is about 1 and growing out his wings. Smokey use to zoom out of the cage and fly around the room a couple times. I leave the cage door open with food available on the cage. They do not like to come out. They have alot of toys in their cage, what can I do to encourage them to get some exercise?

if the tank is little bit bigger than turtle is used to (turtle is sort of small) like how could you teach it to swim up to get air when its not used to it

He always finishes his bowl and i think i'm feeding him about 1/2 cup of vegetables (variety that was on russian tort website) every morning, seems very active and poops everyday or at least every other. I always think he is still hungry. Should I let him be?

I have this Paint Stud and I want to stud him out. How many times in a month is it safe to breed him to mares? I mean I don't want him to become a sex-a-holic. But i would like him to be able to support him self.

I have bred them before. so don't worry about that type of stuff. i know all about that. but i have dwarf bunnies, and there is 1 boy and 3 girls. AND NONBE OF THEM HAVE GOTTON PREGNNT!!!!!! why? i realy want them 2. and i also have regular bunnies, can the dwarf rabbit breed with the normal bunnies or does it have to mate with a dwarf. cuz mating the tiger dwarfs really isn't working. and yes they all are old enough. and yes i am sure of their sexes.

in my house and can't catch it. I have a trap but it has gotten the p. butter out and the trap not going off??!! what should i do now??!! I called a local pest/termanitor and said it will be $250.00 to get and set a trap for it....but not qaurnteed it will work??!! so then what??!!.... help?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!................

in april of this year i had gotten my dog rabbies shot. is it 2 early to get another one because i want to get my dog a flea bath and petco won't do it until I show them proof of the shot she got.... can't find the paper work and it was a local town thing at the fire stastion and the town hall doesn't have it. so is it 2 early for her to get another rabbies shot??!!! or will she get really sick/ or not if i do it again with her??!!!!

We live on a farm and have 3 one year old cats who use my kid's sandbox as a litter box all the time. We have a fenced in yard for our kids but the gates are too high to keep the cats out. Is there anythign I can use to deture them from the sandbox?

he doesn't have ear mites, got him tested today. the vet said if he keeps scratching to bring him back. He has been scratching and still is, that's why he went to the vet today. Maybe he just needs them cleaned out, what's the easiest way to do that. He's a major crybaby, he screamed bloody murder today while he got his shots. Thanks
