I have this Paint Stud and I want to stud him out. How many times in a month is it safe to breed him to mares? I mean I don't want him to become a sex-a-holic. But i would like him to be able to support him self.

most of the time with mares you breed them every 36 hours for a week or two-depending on how good of a brood mare she is. if you have three or more mares you're breeding try to figure out a way to have him breed no more than every 12 hours-he wont become a sex-a-holic

Hi,
Do you have access to artificial insemination? If so one collection can be split to multiple mares therefore upping your numbers of mares bred without him becoming a sex a holic.I stand a you 4 yo perlino QH and bred 400 ples mares this yr. alone.Another thing you can try is pasture breeding.More mares take that way with less effort because the Stallion knows the right time to breed each mare. You can breed 60 plus mares a season that way .

Providing you can book them you can breed him once per day or maybe more often. Some will breed twice per day.
You are going to have to be able to book that many mares.
