in my house and can't catch it. I have a trap but it has gotten the p. butter out and the trap not going off??!! what should i do now??!! I called a local pest/termanitor and said it will be $250.00 to get and set a trap for it....but not qaurnteed it will work??!! so then what??!!.... help?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!................

I would maybe call your local SPCA, Humane Society or Animal Control, they should come out with no charge.

First Id call the ASPCA or local Wildlife rescue they will remov eit for free.
Do not use any other kind of trrap other than a live trap.
Other traps are not humane and may be illegal for a squirrel depending on your area
If you can leave a screenless windwo open put some pnut butter on the sill and HOPE..put some water on the sill as well as he will be looking for food and water
Im certain it got in there on accident and is just tryint o find a way out
meanwhile call your wildlife folks they will come get him for free!

uh uh terminators are bad ideas! They KILL the animals. Yeah, just locate an SPCA or something. Capture it humanely, no crde traps and no killings. Set out some peanuts or sunflower seeds or something like that and stand ready with a net or a good cage. Once you've got it set the cute little squirrel FREE!!! :-)

First of all I hope that you are using a live trap!
Besides that those little buggers are really smart. I know there are squirrel rescues all over the US....call one adn see if they know someone who would help you. Then they could fix it up and release it back into the wild.

Call your local Animal Control they should be able to help. They might even come out and get it for you.

I hope its not a trap that hurts the poor thing, i hope people can understand some day that animals are like us. what ever you do DO NOT use rat poison

get a better trap, and if u can't it willl probablyt leave on it's own. same has happed to me. sorry about this axccident. it sucks!
