Not enough...most vets are seriously overworked and underpaid. Yes, they charge a lot (not actually much different to human medicos, but human treatments are subsidised...), but most of this goes into maintaining facilicites, drugs, etc.

A new grad vet here earns about $35,000 a year. An experienced vet might earn up to $70-80,000 depending on what sort of practice, client base, etc.

If you mean a veterinary practice...an average sized, well run practice with a good client base might gross around $1,000,000. per year

That question is really too broad to answer. State veterinarians earn differently from private clinic owners, who earn differently from corporate vets, military vets, and those working with nonprofit organizations. And as the other poster noted, it also depends on market, specialty, and many other factors.

You may have better luck searching your state's official web site for average income in your particular area. Veterinarians are often listed separately.

If you want to narrow it down to a region of the U.S. and a particular specialty, as well as whether the vet is to be a business owner, business partner, employee of the state, a college, or a clinic, I'll try to give you a $ for our area.

Well I guess that would depend on how much they charge people and what thier expenses are. I know when I go to the vet with my dogs it cost me about 300.00 dollars give or take. Our vet charges a 35.00 dollar office call. Maybe you should call a vet and ask them.

I read somewhere that a first year, beginner vet can make $50,000 and more per year. (it depends on location, qualification, specialization, etc., though).
I'll let you do the math.
