We have a 1 yr. old neutered cat (indoor) and are thinking about adding a new 12 week old male kitten (indoor) to our family. Our 1 yr. old cat has never sprayed but we are worried about the chance of either cat spraying. Can someone shed some light on this situation??

My female dog is dominant and marks territory just like a male when we are on walks. Do most dominant females do this?

I personally dislike the bans because they are punishing the breed instead of the owner who doesn't know anything about the dog and just wants to own one. When a pit attacks they blame the pitbull but what about the owner? The owner wasn't calm and assertive(dog whisperer). I know some of my neighbors who HATE pits witha passion and won't give up the fact that it's not the dogs fault. The bans never work.

ON AUG 2ND OF THIS YEAR WE TRAGICALLY LOST OUR BELOVED DAKOTA-SENEGAL PARROT.

I HAVE TWO COCKATIELS THAT ARE BONDED TOGETHER. I LOVE BOTH DEARLY AND SILAS MY LUTINO USE TO BE SO LOVING, BUT WHEN WE GOT VALENTINE THAT ALL ENDED AS THEY BONDED AND I CAN NOT LOVE ON THEM FOR THAT REASON. I AM HAVING THOUGHTS OF RELOCATING THEM TO A NEW HOME AND I AM AFRAID I AM ONLY HAVING THESE THOUGHTS DUE TO THIS GRIEVING. I WISH I KNEW WHAT WAS RIGHT HERE....ANY RESPONSES IS APPRECIATED.

He is only 8 months old. I also breed hamsters, but Mikey keeps opening the cage and eating the young pink ones but avoids eating the ones with fur, he just squeezes them dead. Does anyone know why?

I have a fish bowl with 4 small goldfish and a black butterfly koi! -- Are there any other types of fish that do not have to have a filter, like a large tank would?... And that would get along well with the goldfish and koi? .. .. Maybe a little crab or sucker-fish??

This truck will be towed away very soon. I brought her a small dog house, placed straw on the floor and placed it near the truck. She will not use it... I started putting her food dish it in and at least she now goes in it. I cannot bring her into my home although I would like to, She was injured several months ago (part of tail cut-off) and if I bring her to a shelter.. instant death. I do not want her to freeze how can I persude her to use the dog house... perhaps make it a little safer??? Thanks

My wife and I and thinking of getting a dog. I want to name the dog 'photon' because I am hoping to get an agile dog. And if the dog isn't agile, it'll be an inside joke I guess.

Looking for some viewpoints on uncommon names for pet dogs.

I have a brand new 8 week old male Toy australian shepherd ( for those of you who think this isnt a breed, check out tasaa.org). He has wonderful bloodlines & I will be showing him as well as putting him into some kind of a working show. I was wondering if around 2 years old is the correct age to start studding him out? and also how hard is it to breed? My beagle had pups not too long ago(accidental pregnancy w/ a golden retriever), but they all died. The vet said they were premature, but it has been hard on me and has put a damper on my wanting to breed. Please give me any information you can on studding out dogs, & eventually breeding. Thanks.

If you have a bird that you can't look after anymore I will re-home it with my other birds, where it will be taken care of and loved, in a safe environment, with all its needs catered for. I can travel to collect in and around Exeter UK, or just outside, but you will need to bring the bird to me if you are further away. I will not charge you anything and you can visit your pet whenever you like to check up on his/her progress. I run an Aviary with Cockatiels, Kakarikis, Lovebirds, Quails and Budgies and have room for more. I am also able to take Canaries as I am currently preparing a sanctury for these.

I lost my bestfriend, my baby just over a month ago and I'm wondering how long does it take for the pain to subside? How long does it take for raths grasp on your heart to let go? It hasn't been letting go of mine, well only a very little bit maybe.
I just miss him so much, my dog was in our family since before I was born. He got put to sleep at the age of 16 1/2 years old. All I want to do is to be able to hug him and kiss him and smell his beautiful smell again. He was the best dog in the world, he was my baby my bestfriend. I love him so much that if I ever had to chose between a human friend and my dog I would chose him in a instant.

So any suggestons on how to help get over the pain?
Thanks!

I have a horse that's three years old at the moment and barely even halter broke. She flinches when you touch her ears and we've only had the saddle and bridle on her once, which took nearly an hour to do. She allowed us to sit on her back, but freaked out when we had someone on her back and someone leading her. I've been seeing her on a daily basis for four months and she's barely shown any progress. She's already head strong on the lead and likes to just go back to the barn to feed. Any tips on where else I could start or any easy tips I could try to handle her better? I'm ready to ride this horse!
