He is only 8 months old. I also breed hamsters, but Mikey keeps opening the cage and eating the young pink ones but avoids eating the ones with fur, he just squeezes them dead. Does anyone know why?

How can I stop him from being so mean??

I have owned several monkeys and I take good care of them. The baby hamsters offer good nutritional value and protein for the monkeys. I guess you dont know how strong a monkey is, he broke the cages and gets the hamsters. I breed the hamsters for the sole purpose of treating the monkey to a healthy snack as per my vet. The main reason I posted the question is because the monkey gets greedy and when the hamsters grow up I donate them to the local pet shop. The monkey unlike others I had is mean ONLY to the furry babies and actually plays gentle with the older hamsters.

Why don't you buy two padlocks one for the monkeys cage and one for the hamsters cage? Then try and find a more suitable home for both pets. Why are you allowing the monkey to run free and do what he likes? How much is he truamitising the hamsters while he is looking for a snack? Please try and be a bit more responsible for your pets.

In addition you can buy frozen pinky mice from good pet stores if you wish to supplement the monkeys diet without feeding it live baby hamsters.

Monkeys are mean. If you don't already know that, you are in for a nasty surprise. This is natural behavior for them, you can't train them out of it. Even if he learns you don't want him in the hamster cages, he will just get sneaky about it.
Please learn more about Cappuchins. You will need all the help and information you can get when the little guy hits puberty. You think he's mean now, just wait!
You have 30 years of this, get used to it.

EDIT
The are individuals just like people. He's like the bratty neighbor kid who breaks the other kid's toys and burns insects with a magnifing glass.
Have fun with the little gem.

While you're wondering about that, please put a small lock on the hamster cage!
