The only "safe" floor cleaner is plain water. Any chemical can be harmful if ingested or absorbed through the paw. Stay away from Swiffer products, there is a toxin in that mix that is deadly.

Vinegar and Club soda are very good for cleaners. Also, we use resolve for our Bassett. Look for a "Pet Safe" logo on the cleaner bottle. Also, in the future, if you want to discourage the licking of the floor, try putting regular table black pepper, or if that doesn't work, slightly otter pepper on the floor in the areas where they tend to lick most. I used it on the cracks of my sliding glass door where I used bug spray treatmhent, he very quickly learned that sticking his nose in there will result in sneezing and he stopped the licking.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU7Nf
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Vinagar is an excellent cleaner and your house will not smell like salad. Vinagar is an excellant deodorizer I use it in my litter boxes and clean the floor in the area with it. Clear vinagar is the best but I have used wine vinegar in a clinch. Good Luck

Use a dilution of white vinigar. It will disinfect and absorb odors, and it's harmless to your pets. (although it doesn't taste great)
My cat loves to lick the floor, and I've found this is not only a good, environmentally friendly cleaner, but he doesn't like the flavor. (He thought bleach was delicious) Good Luck

Plain white vinegar is the best cleaner to have around. Dilute it with water. DO NOT use it on marble surfaces!

Check at PetSmart--a friend of mine who has 2 Huskies and a Malimut goes there to buy non-toxic rock salt to melt ice off her porch steps in the winter...I bet they'd have cleaning products too. :)
