One of my Brits is getting old....won't have her much longer maybe a year or two....I am interested in getting another dog so the new pup will have time to work with my Brit in the field hunting and be good and trained...I have heard that Vizla's are very good dogs...I hear they are good hunters...and I have read some info on the AKC site and other places on line but I would like to hear about what people who haved owned them think....

Don't get me wrong...I am going to be sad when I lose my Brit but it is easier to train a new hunting dog when they have an older dog to "show them the ropes". She also seems to really like playing with other pups...they seem to bond with her...especially in the field.

everyone in my street owns one, why are they so popular, I reckon the reason everyone in my street has one is because they think they look hard walking around with, what I describe, a wide headed streched face mutt attaced to a lead. Every friggin morning i get up to the next doors staff curling one down on my drive way but thats a different matter, I just want to know the appeal.

Sometimes I have to leave my cat alone over the weekend. When I come home I find that she's peed somewhere in the house. Usually it's the bathroom rugs, so I started closing that door. This time it was the laundry basket. Is she just getting back at me for leaving her alone?? Her litter box is always clean when I leave, so I know it's not because her litter box is too dirty for her to go in.

I got the dog in june and she was a perfect dog, except for being a little skidish. She would go with me everywhere, she was comfortable around the race car and she didnt bark. The problem is now 4 months later she barks at my boyfriend(i know she likes him cuz she gets excited when she hears his truck), she crawls under the fence, chews my shoes, goes to the bathroom on the floor right after she comes inside(she use to go outside), and when we are outside she tries to run away. She use to chew on the bedding until i bought a new comforter and she quit. The only person she will come to when she runs away is my boyfriend. she has a large fenced in yard and goes for walks but nothing seems to help the running.I have no idea what to do with her, if i cant get her to behave we may have to get rid of her.

My staff has got a blocked anal gland for the third time. This time it looks like they are both blocked, and have been blocked with no visible signs for some time. He is on antibiotics and is having a check up tomorrow (thurs) and is pencilled in for GA on Fri to operate on them if necessary.
Why does this happen and can they be removed??
Please dont do silly answers, he means the world to me and I am worried.

what's a good breed of dog that's all or most of the following:

very affectionate;

nice totards other animals;

does NOT shed;

loves to relax and cuddle with his/her owner;

yet, loves to be energectic and go play fetch in the park.

if you have some dog breeds that have the above, can you tell me what they don't have that i mentioned? (and the breed, of course)

thank you all for your time. ♥

I already tried the treat and toy thing. It's the last thing she wants when she's in the bath.

The people acorss the street from me have a ton of great danes, probably 6. THEY ARE HUGE! and one of them had a bunch of puppies. They use to let the dogs run around the yard without a gate or leash or anything, and the dogs would run into other peoples yards. Someone called the police on them, and that got sorted out. Why they have so many dogs still, i dont know. But now they have a little gated area in their driveway for the dogs. The big dog sits there and whines really loud all day long, and it's really annoying especially since its nice out and my windows are opened. Do you think that's enough reason to call someone on them? And if so, who should i call?

Do you think that owners not having enough money for vaccinations or neutering is good enough reason for Vetenary Clinics not to treat sick or needy animals?
