Of course not! They eat some interesting things, but defintely not cats.
As for those who said China, that is true only in the poor villages, just like poor white people in the US who eat roadkill.

No the general public does not eat cats in any country, including Japan and China.
Besides if you think about it, what's the difference between eating a cow or a horse? How about a cat or a chicken?
