My husband and I adopted a puppy from the dog pound a couple of days ago. The dog food we bought her is too big for her to chew, so we've been giving her our cat's food. (I've tried soft dog food, but it makes her stools really runny and we haven't house trained her yet) So can I continue giving her "Special Kitty" or will it mess up her digestion?

I was just curious how many cats people have in their houses. I have none, I find cats and dogs disgusting with their shedding and pooping. But that's only me, to each is own. But my mother in law has 12 cats in her house and she feeds all the strays so she has approx. (including the house cats) 15-20 cats hanging around her property at any given time. I was wondering if this was normal and if others share this obsession with cats and why? In my opinion all cats do is lay around, how can that be anything worth wanting in excess. (remember this is my opinion please leave it at that and don't get nasty with me because I don't share your views please, thank you)

She buries her treats, toys, or other random things she finds in the blankets on my bed. Then, I pick them up and all of her stuff falls out.
Why does she do this? Is this some biological canine thing? And how do I stop it?

I rescued a kitten who im guessing is approx 2-3 months old. One of my two cats had "adopted" her as her baby and the kitten lays with her and kneads her belly and nurses from her. I rescued the older cat also and she has never had kittens since she has lived with me but I believe she had some before. Is the adoptive kitty momma really producing milk? Can cats lactate like that without having been pregnant? The kitten also eats hard food and I don't have a problem with her nursing,in fact the two have bonded really well but Im just curious as to whether she is really producing milk or is the kitten just doing this out of habit?

how come people seem so devoted to saving animals when there are people who need so much help.
Things like donations for dogs and rspca and petitions in the city centres. I do care for animals but i would rather see people helped first.

She's one year old and i've noticed that she is a very poor eater. She is very skinny and her skin sags at the back by her legs. I gave her worm tablets months ago because that's what i thought it might be. She also seems to take ages to eat her food and she eats it very slowly even when she SHOULD be hungry. So what's going on?

I am having a TPLO procedure done on my dog and was wondering how much will be covered by insurance. It's been difficlut getting an answer from the insurance company as they need to see a claim before they can evaluate it. Thank you

She licked up some liquid laundry detergent off the floor that drips from the container. Is there anything that I should do? She acts like she needs to throw up, but doesn't.

I got a horse for my kid to learn on and this horse is great with my kid. She is calm, older, and usually tries to please, but she is new, so we don't know alot about her. She is actually a great horse, but the other day she bucked me and gave me major attitude. When I was done working with her, she was acting better, but now I don't trust her with my daughter as much... Should I even put my daughter on this horse again?
