Yes. I believe it might be a Raven. He befriended us about three months ago. He is not caged and is quite independant. However a few days ago his eating habits are off and he won't or can't fly. I am very worried about him. His name is Peter. If any one has information about the health of a Raven. please let me know.

i don't know if it was considered a 'pet' but i trained a few for a bird show. they tend to spook easily but easy to train! very comical and adventurous. a couple learned to say a few words but i wouldn't say their vocabulary was the best.
they were omnivorous (meat and veggies) but tend to be more on the meat side.
smart birds!
my hubby and i went to Yellowstone one year. It was in the winter time. There were ravens all over the place. They figured out how to open the seat flap to the sleds and got out what food was in there!!
The ravens and crows here in the USA are illegal to have as a pet. You have to have a special permit to own since they are protected.

i hope a bit of my experience helps ... good luck :)

My Grandpa did. He lives in China.

I hated that crow. Always squawked. One day he flew away from cage. I'm glad he's free now.

I myself didn't, but my best friend when I was little had one, he was the coolest bird I ever had the pleasure of knowing, the only problem that he had was that he would fly down and untie halter tops that had strings to tie them.

I haven't, but I have seen them for sale in pet stores. You are supposed to be able to teach them to talk like parrots do, and they are supposed to be quite intelligent.
