I have two cats. I chose them because they are gentle, quiet, bright, clean and affectionate -- just like me.

I have been a cat lover since birth, but my mother hates them. I begged for years and she finally got me one for Christmas when I was 14. I was too shocked to be dissapointed that I didn't get to pick her out. I had her 16 years and lost her this March. I still miss that cat.
Our dog was a rescue. My auntie was at Petco on an adoption day and couldn't resist this little puppy. She was as big as her hand and so skinny. The rescue attendants said she was part chihuahua and wouldn't get bigger than maybe 15 pounds at the largest, well, they were wrong. She is a Labrador that weighs 60 pounds!!! We adore her, and would never give her up.
Their names: Ebony (hey, I was 14, and didn't have enough imagination to name a black cat anything else.)
The Lab is Dott, because she has one on her forehead, when she was little, it was almost perfectly round, now it is oval.

My wife and I have two Siberian Huskies. Our first husky was a stray, and came wandering up to the shop where I work as a mechanic and smog tech. We put an ad in the paper, and when no one answered it, we decided to keep her. We soon fell in love with this breed of dog, and adopted our second husky from our local animal shelter. We love our dogs, but this breed is not for everyone. They shed a lot, can be stubborn at times, and need a VERY secure yard. They also often times end up being abused, which is why my wife and I would one day like to have a husky rescue site.

A ferrett: got it from a friend 4 yrs ago. She was movong and could not take it to her new appt. she was going to put it down, so I took it.
2 cats (Deedee and Fatazz) I got Deedee from a petstore, she looked so sad, she was the last cat in the cage and when I got her out to pat her, she feel asleep in my arms...
Fatazz we got 3 days after Deedee. My nana lives in a retirement home and one of her friends fell and broke her hip so she had to go into a home and she could not take the cat with her. We took in Fatazz as a foster cat for a maximum of 3 months. Well, the woman died in the home so we kept Fatazz. Which was OK cus her and Deedee get along great!

I have 2 dogs, 2 birds, and 2 rabbits.
My dad rescued 1 dog from the streets, and the other one we got from a farm. Shes a herding dog.
We got the 2 birds because my dad liked them.
I got my rabbit because my parents figured I was responsible enough, and I researched them so much because I always wanted one.
Then, my spoiled sister got one after her bearded dragon died.

A cat named Charlie. Cat-napped him from the crackheads that used to live next door. They were abusing him. Actually, he kind of demanded to be adopted, now that I'm thinking about it. Just stuck his face in my window one day and meowed very loudly. He's been here ever since.
