Furry makes me think of a wolfspider. They do have similar markings as a brown recluse. The brown recluse is generally only found in the Central Midwestern States.

You live in Visalia? That's hilarious, I grew up in Visalia, and all my fam is still there. How random! Anyhow, it could just be a wolf spider. They bite, but it just swells and itches for a while. They're so creepy, though! Just in case, though, it could be a violin spider. Look it up. wikipedia.com . By the way, hope you're enjoying the lovely weather! :)

i think that would be a brown recluse, i've had those, and man, they are one of the most deadlyist, stay away from them!
