She buries her treats, toys, or other random things she finds in the blankets on my bed. Then, I pick them up and all of her stuff falls out.
Why does she do this? Is this some biological canine thing? And how do I stop it?

Canines have the instinct to hide or bury food for later, In the wild they will bury what they do not eat so they can come back for it. Your dog is demonstrating the same instinct by hiding things in your bed. My dog likes to bury things under the blanket in her crate.

Maybe (as someone else said, it is the small dogs) I never had a dog bury anything. Now I have a Maltese and he buries everything. If he gets a Milk Bone and isn't hungry he searches a safe place to bury it. I watched him jump on the couch and bury it in the pillows and he didn't feel right about that. He took and wandered around some more. After about fifteen minutes, the bone ended up under my bed pillow.........

He has a fit when I strip my bed. He barks and carries on because of all the junk he has hidden there. I try to do the bed when he isn't around.

If your dog sleeps with you, she may think this is HER bed, and therefore a nice place to keep her stuff. It's also possibly she's bringing her cool stuff to you because she wants to share. I don't know how to stop it other than say "Bad doggy!"

This is mostly a trait of smaller dogs and my dog does it also . I think they do this for two reasons. They trust you with their toys& they are proud of themselves and are showing you what they found
