My dog was playing with his brother and a friends dog and I noticed he had started to bleed on his tongue. He bit the side of his tongue and a large bubble formed and blood started to spray out. How can I monitor his condition and make sure no infection developes. I am checking his temperature and keeping him calm for now. He has not eaten anything since he hurt himself. Not sure now what to look for and care for his tongue. Can anyone help me. I called the vet and they said just monitor him keep him calm but no way to apply pressure on the tongue. All my life I've had dogs and never encountered this situation.

I just got a Husky and we can't find a good name. He is so cute, he looks just like the dog on Snow Dogs ( Demon ). He is so sweet, but he looks like he would be a tough pup. I really need help with finding a perfect name for my awesome Husky pup. We just got him today.

I plan to keep them seperated while we are not home. I am just worried that the cat will forever be angry and jealous and never accept the kitten.

We have found a food that helps with these problems for our cat. But we can't find what we need for our dogs. We have a Boxer and an American Staffordshire Terier, each over 50lbs and lean and active. They prefer dry food. "doggy breath" we reduced by cutting out all table scraps. But "dog sweat" and shedding are still problems. I've heard there are foods that can help with both of these. I don't know what they are or where to get them. Of course, with the amount big dogs eat affordability is a must.

I went out today to see a baby fawn with my dog. The dog was just standing, watching over it in a motherly way, but I put my dog in and left the deer alone, hoping that the mother would come back for it. I haven't disturbed it all day, but the mother hasn't come back yet. The sun is setting and it's getting cold outside. I'm afraid that it will either freeze to death or starve. Should I take it in and feed it some milk replacement? I have lamb milk replacement. I know the best thing would be for the mother to come back and get it, but I don't know if anyone will come back for it. It's been almost seven hours and it's getting cold outside. What should I do?
