I'd love to write for a magazine, preferably a popular women's magazine or a travel magazine. How much money would you make doing this? I know that I would most likely be living in a big, expensive city like NYC and I'm just wondering if this job pays well or not. Thanks!

Also somebody out there with half a brain tell me what 9/11 had to do with Saddam Hussein? Can anyone give me an answer as to why Tony Blair was allowed to get away with his blatant lies about Iraq having weapons of mass destruction? One more question that you should really think about before answering why did Britain decide to go into Iraq with the U.S? There must have been a pretty good reason to make up a lot of lies to justify going into a country that a week before 9/11 nobody was even talking about. Oh yeh and by the way I am all for war but only when there is good reason to go to war.

Jessie Jackson:
Remarks about Jews
Jackson has been criticized for some of the remarks he has made about Jews and Jewish issues: that Nixon was less attentive to poverty in the U.S. because "four out of five [of Nixon's top advisors] are German Jews and their priorities are on Europe and Asia"; that he was "sick and tired of hearing about the Holocaust"; that there are "very few Jewish reporters that have the capacity to be objective about Arab affairs"; [11] In addition Rev. Jackson had referred to Jews as "Hymies"

Al Sharpton:
In 1995, Sharpton led a protest in Harlem against the plans of Freddy's Fashion Mart, a Jewish-owned clothing store, to expand into a black neighborhood, displacing a black retailer. Sharpton told the protesters, "We will not stand by and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper can expand his business."

And yet they throw stones. Basically, it's acceptable to slander any religion or skin color other than black. Nice Job.

The rev. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton seem to have forgotten about the priciple of forgiveness. He is sorry, he apologized over and over again, and yet they still won't be satisfied, it seems. "Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord." Whatever happened to that?

the man made a bonehead remark.whoa.he picks on everyone,he always has.the girls on rutgers team would have never known what was said, who he was and probably cared less, unless sharpton and his cronies wouldnt havemade it such an issue.men like shapton profit over starting trouble and taking advantage of there own people.the media has made this such a bad thing forgeting all of the double-standards us caucasions have to live with, question?if the the tables were turned and sharpton made a similar remark towards white athletes would this be an issue? i dont think so,i dont think id even know he said it.imus made a mistake, hes been through plenty.does anyone agree or am i just alone on this

View the following links then give me your honest opinion.

while Don Imus' comments were offensive they were said in jest. http://youtube.com/watch?v=RF9BjB7Bzr0

Compare to bill O'Reilly

It appears quite obvious to me, that when you dechiper through his attempts to obfuscate his true intentions; Bill O'Reily is little more than a racist xenophobe, who wants a 'whites only' immigration policy. He actually used terms like 'the Dominant people' and the current 'white power structure' it was spooky, and he is dead serious!

I'm I the only one who thinks Bill is far more dangerous than Don ever could be?

Issaish Washington an actor on the hit TV show; Grey's Anatomy was casitgated by GLAAD,the Gay Community, the media & ABC-TV for using the word "******" in referring to co-star TR Knight. Issiah initially denied using the offensive term and then used it again on a TV awards show. He finally admitted his "offense" met with and apologized to TR Knight, the Gay & Lesbian Community, etc. and agreeded to go to REHAB only when his termnation from the series loomed on the horizon. And to a residential treatment facility...for using an ofensive term. After a short time in REHAB Issiah was "cured" from what ever he infected with and returned to work. IMUS on the other hand did use ofensive terms, expressed his regret, never denied using them and met with Rev. Sharpton to discuss the issue and apologize. Imus went to Rutgers and apologized to the lady players and accepted the imposed the 2 week suspension. Then he was fired by MSNBC,NBC & CBS. Equal & fair or not? Your thoughts? THX

seemed like the most outspoken against Imus were of religious background on media airwaves, almost seemed like this is opposite to healing and where is the "forgiven" part displayed in all of this. this creates more division and less unity.

Imus has raised millions each year for his ranch for children with cancer, also millions for SIDS, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, and Autism research. Who will step up to the plate and and take over these causes? Will it be Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Hillary Clinton---NOT! So what will happen to all the good and great things he has done.

African Americans have suffered enough!!! this is an outrage. he is an idiot! he most likely knew that he had freedom of speech but there would be horrible consequences. that’s so awful!!!!!!!!

Because the people who were enslaved are no longer here
and the people who did the enslaving are no longer here.

My family emmigrated from Italy and poland, and were oppressed by fascism and nazism in Europe.

I expect nothing from the Germans, Italian Government or cosa nostra that most likely did the looting and opressing of my great-great grandparents.

The question is:

If slavery was considered oppression of the INNOCENT (which it was), are these reparations expected, not from guilty parties, but from INNOCENT people who had nothing to do with this oppression. Is that the point here?
