It could. It could have a "chilling" effect on what people say on the radio. Personally, I think Imus should sue CBS for breach of contract. Imus wasn't doing anything he hasn't done on his show- over the past 25 years, & suddenly he get fired for it?! Something smells "unpleasant" here... I know the other "Shock Jocks" didn't always get along with the guy- but if they don't close "ranks" & protest his firing, -their heads could be NEXT on the chopping block. Howard Stern has always had a "big mouth"; let's see if he opens it NOW- when it counts...

I hope not. Imus has every opportunity to take his skills elsewhere. He's not escaped the bullet here but maybe woke him up a bit. It is not fair in my opinion. Maybe he felt too safe there. Who knows Syrus SP? radio with Howard & Martha?
There is a world of possibilities out there. Had it not been for all the Al Sharpton noise this never would have gotten so out of control. Imus will be back. Will Rap artist change and take responsibility for the impact they have on their listener's?
I'd bet all that bling bling speaks louder than some common sense.

There will be less good radio. I think the culture needs to change starting with hiphop. They degrate women all the time. Kids look up to them....and they need to watch what they say because kids will emnulate if they hear words like ho's and stuff over and over
