good question but I doubt it, we all-- or most of us see blacks as equal of course, but yet ALL of society expects to see black rappers acting like sub-humans. Even Europeans, I have lived there. Blacks themselves will have to clean up this problem. Sharpton could not care less- as long as he is in the public eye. There are some things that are out of white's hands. BLACKS have to say enough! we will not have these criminals for our children's role models any longer! yes criminals--it is a crime how they are influencing young black kids, especially those with no good father figure.

An Open Email To Don Imus since I dont now know how to get hold of him.
Dear Mr. Imus
My name is Jeff and I am a born again spirit filled on fire for Jesus Black American Christian. I must also say, I rarely if ever listen
to your program.
In any event, I was more than a little taken aback by your producers lead
in, and your follow through, of comments about the Ladies of the Rutgers
Championship Basketball Team.
As a father of the cutest little girl in the world, it hurts me to
hear any man, speak disparagingly of women. I don't
know if you have a daughter, or daughters, but if you do, or don't,
just imagine what you would feel like if someone degraded one of your girls in
that way. I'm guessing it would hurt pretty badly, and make you feel pretty mad.
I'm glad you apologized for what you said, and I hope you will share a
genuine private apology with The Lady Scarlet Knights. If you are truly a
believer, than that's all you really need to do. I am certain that if there are true believers on that team, as I believe there are, that you can find some true forgiveness and know some true peace there.
If it means anything to you, I forgive you, any Christian who understands the word ( Rev. Al Sharpton) would have to.
I'm sorry you got fired, but I'm sure it wasn't the first time, and it
probably wont be the last. Just remember Jesus will never leave you or forsake you, that all have sinned and fallen short of
the Glory of God, and if we confess our sins He is faithful and just to
forgive us our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness. It probably wont
get your job back, but it will give you peace of mind, and there are other
jobs. God Bless you Agape Jeff.
PS If any one knows Mr. Imus' email I would appreciate it if you would pass this along.

Fairness requires it. How can they fire Imus for his comment, while Al Sharpton says hateful things about Jews all the time. Why doesn't the media treat those comments the same way? What ever happened to fair and balanced. What about the all the money Don Imus has raised for charity? Does that count for something? Why does racism only seem to go one way?

Let's hope so but I am no psychic. Things like these move in waves. If you have swum in the ocean it's kinda like who eats the sand and who chokes or who gets up to breath the air. Sandy Beach where they HAVE lifeguards in Hawaii (EL duh?) we mostly Lost our shorts. Those are metaphors for it's hard to tell. We have sharks in our waters off Hawaii too. Sometimes I look toward nature for answers.
Sadly, there is way too much money involved here (egos, we won't go there) and I will be amazed if those artists change their spots. It's called creative license. Thus the circle of life.

No. If blacks say racial slurs in songs it is okay because of the politically correct double standard fostered by the media. They own all the nasty names for blacks that white people get fired for saying. Plus since Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are black, it is okay for them to say terrible things about whites and jews. They are exempt because they are black.

good point because it should but because the black people use it against black people i guess its different as long as white people don't use it its the race card. He should never reffered to the Womens Basketball team as Ho's, because he does not know them they are college girls and he had no right to say it.

Good question.
Perhaps this incident will spawn a whole new way of conversing with each other, with respect and dignity and (almost) love for one another.
Hey, I can dream.

Blacks buy rap and they think its perfectly okay to call each other names. They just don't like it when other people agree with them.

No. Sorry. Doesn't work that way. It's freedom of speech when you put it in a porn video or a 'music' video.
