Yuan Weijing, wife of activist Chen Guangcheng, has herself been arrested on the way to the Philippines to receive an award for her husband.

He has been imprisoned for exposing corruption and abuse in the "One Child Policy" including forced sterilizations and involuntary abortions.

Under the communist government's one-child policy, urban dwellers are allowed one child and rural families can have two if the first is a girl.

Ruthless enforcement has triggered widespread opposition, especially in the countryside.

But Communist Party officials and the rich often ignore the law themselves.

Yuan has said that Chen, who is blind, had been severely beaten in prison.

Human Rights Watch had previously labeled her husband's case an example of the "significant deterioration" of rights in Communist China.

Shouldn't those who value human rights consider a boycott of China?

Ronald Reagan funded and supported the Talibans in Afghanistan because they were an opponent of the Marxist and Soviet lead government. The Soviet Union tried to repress Islam and other religions where ever it had dominance. The fall of the Soviet Union and the return of religious practice has been the leading cause of the current world problems we face today. Reagan's legacy is the rise of Islamic fundamentalism.

Say if China, being communist, decided they didnt like the American government and decided to invade in order to "save" them from great evil. Say, if Chinese soldiers were in every street, every city with tanks, military vehicles and soldiers armed with guns. Say if you were walking by and you looked at one of them and they started yelling at you in Chinese and then, when you couldn't understand them, they would yell louder and louder then gun you down because yo didn't obey them. Say, if they were gunning down innocent women and children in the streets and it was YOUR children. Say, if Chinese soldiers broke into your house, raped your wife and stole from your home. Say, if they started taking over the government and now bringing in Communism. HOW WOULD YOU DEFEND YOUR COUNTRY? WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

This is what it is like for the Iraqi's. The Chinese could invade on the judgement that the US was full of Nukes and weapons of mass destruction (which it is). This is the example of America

When I was a kid even around the age of 9 or so I had a very sexual mind but I did not understand everything and of course I would not engage in any sexual activity I got my first kiss at 12 and my first real boyfriend at the age of 15. But a few days ago two kids a boy and a girl were both suspended for having sex or maybe it was just oral sex in public school. I found out because my friends younger brother was the boy at age 12. They did this in the girls bathroom.

Are things really changeing much or is technology and t.v just allowing us to realize it more. Why do I ask? My aunt told me a few stories about how her friends would have sex in her room when she was 10 but her friends were 11-13.

But one things for sure I cannot stand how kids act theses days that for sure has changed. Smoking in grade 6-7 and wearing almost nothing its not just the fact that theres young girls are wearing almost nothing its the fact that the close have sexual images , or text on them!

Carter helped get the Shah out of Iran - who represented progress in the middle east, Ronald Reagan has a chance to execute hezbollah in the 80's and Bill Clinton allowed the USA to be attacked 6 times - ???? Why is all of the blame on George Bush - an idiot? when these other idiots let the muslims progress with terror on Christian countries like the USA and Serbia?

Are they ever going to come out and blast this monkeyed administration for not going after Osama Bin Laden more aggressively? That was the guy who blew everyone up in New York right? Twice, once in 93 (how'd he get away?). He also blew up the USS Cole in Yemen a short while back. And supposedly we're fighting the Global War on Terrorism? Who are we fighting again, now in 2007? Iraq! Yes, awesome. We're occupying a country that doesn't want a damn thing to do with democracy, dozens of young American men and women dying every week, and worst of all, this is a nation that posed no threat to the United States. In fact the administration had to LIE about several things to convince the American people that a pre-emptive strike was the "right thing" (WMD's, links to Al Qaeda). And even now as this has become public knowledge (if you don't believe the things i stated previouslyy you are living a lie and i feel sorry for you) Bush and his cronies have no intentions of giving up.

i actualy think that the reason behind the violence in the middle east is because ppl always felt frustrated. most of the middle east countries have been occupied for many years by Britain france , italy .etc.. so they were fighting for their freedom. & when they had their freedom they had to face their corrupted& dictator leaders & now they r afraid to be occupied again by america after the american invasion to iraq & the threats to iran & syria . so actualy i can't blame arabs for thier violent attitude.

okay so let me get this much straight:

America is currently in Iraq because they think there are terrorists there (because of 9/11) they need to stop (but really, it's for the oil they have) . Bush wants to rebuild Iraq's government into a democracy but all he's doing it killing innocent people all in the name of saving the world. all the countries are against them being there except Bush and Blaire (who is no longer in office, right??) and now they can't leave because if they do all these countries will attack us because our troops are too weak and if we stay we are killing many, many innocent people.

anything else there is to this?? like other reasons as to why we went to Iraq and still are there?? oh and is Saddam Heussain's son still alive and in hiding?

PLEASE accuse my ignorance. i know i should be more up to date with this, but math is my strong point, not current events. danke!!

I`m really upset about this news . It happened close to my home .How tragic for this family that a young football mad lad goes off to play footie and is shot dead in the street on his way home. It`s absolutely incomprehensible.

What have we come to?
What can be done to stop it?
How easy is it to get hold of guns?
How can we get rid of them?

Goodnight and godbless little Rhys.

Do you think they should continue the search or just leave them down there ?
I think they should continue the search no matter what the
cost, i think it is a crying shame this day and time with todays
tecnoligy and equipment that they would even consider leaving
them down there. if it means removing the mountian off from
them or what ever it takes i think for the families sake they need brougt out. i wish there was a way of starting some kind of petition to forse the mine owners or msha or the goverment or whoever to have to get them out dead or alive. they should not just be allowed to quit.

I just pulled up www.familywatchdog.us. There are 3 offenders in my neighborhood i never knew off.
Firstly, i thought molesters and child predators weren't allowed within so many feet of a child, my neighborhood is riddled with kids. One man is .25 miles from my door, that's .25 from my 3 babies! Ugh, what gives these sick assh0les the right to even exist for praying upon young innocent lives? There's nothing stopping them from looking out the window at some girls playing hop scotch and tossing off (pardon me) or sneeking a kid off to the very end of our neighborhood to a wooded area where a vast river is. I'm not sure anyone in my neighborhood knows, it is a small area in the country, should they be made aware - what would you do? Can anything be done? Cause, Human Rights protect them so i'm sure there is nothing i can do.
Man, 3 men within a one mile radius. I know this isn't news to anyone, i'm just shocked and had to vent sorry.
Parent's - It's worth logging onto and it's free!

Do you read the news reports and shake your head? Are you nonchalant about it? Should we bring them home? Should we keep fighting for a "just cause"? Why are we even there? I ask myself these questions all the time. I'm going into the army in a couple months and I believe that the war is wrong.
