Seeing that all those on top of the White House Temple, Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice and so on where never responsible for anything that happened that went wrong with the Country and the Bush Presidency, I guess we should shot every underling that ever associated and screwed up the wonderful plans and details like the planning of the Iraq War, the peeled eyes on the worst of the terroists, the leaking of secret information, the abuse of the tortured inmates, the dismissal of the Iraq Army, the failure to guard the bomb and ammunition dumps, the assumptions of dancing in the streets, WMD, the the horrible book writers who will go down as traditors of the Bush Family, the truckloads of raw cash distributed to someone somewhere, the happy forcasts of victroy and success that go on today even in the successes of the surge. Who will ever forget the, "Bring it on!" declaritive bravery and The Bush and National Guard patient of a Federal Doctor for a tooth examination. Lord, what a Presiden

Do you think the airing of the "Jewish God's Warriors" show tonight on CNN is going to prompt more donations
to organizations supporting Jewish settlements in the West Bank, especially by Westerners? Why or why not?

I ask because News and Events has become a minefield just lately.
Too many intelligent people are becoming sucked in by theories and sob stories and propoganda.

I just want to say, be a bit more cynical people, dont believe everything you read nor every story you hear. Not everyone is genuine and some can be very manipulative and clever. Trust your instincts.
I warn you because I myself fell victim to an internet stalker a few years back. all because I tried to help. And I consider myself fairly intelligent and savvy. I am a lot more wary now.
Remember Y/A is a bit of fun, its NOT real life.
How do you look after yourself online?

News and events has been getting a bit heavy recently with talk of bullies and people getting picked on.

Do people mind answering daft questions on this section, even though they're not about the news?

Do the regulars on here go into other sections to answer questions? I have News/Events bookmarked, and rarely stray elsewhere - am I missing anything?

Why don't they spend their time digging our leaders for a resoulution on immigration?
Instead their main concern is Michael Vicks dog fighting. How many home runs some steriod induced loser has hit. And is some hyped up moron from across the pond is going to play a sport that we as americans could give a crap about. Your thoughts.

How about sending a radio controlled vehicle with a 360° rotatable camera mounted to it?
Also, some kind of GPS or cell-phone attached so that the miners can communicate where they are in the mine?
Doesn't NASA or the Military have something like that?
What's up with all these great engineering minds in this country?
Can't you think of something?
I too believe the miners to be alive.
Give them EVERY CHANCE possible to be rescued.
Don't let that mine be their tomb.

When I took my A levels back in 1984 the grades I obtained were AAB which I was justly proud of.

Back in those days the clever students got 3 A grades or if they were part of the elite 4 A grades.

However, nowadays to get AAB is seen as average and the clever students are getting 7 A grades (as the link below shows).

This would have been impossible back in 1984.

Does this mean that human evolution is moving so fast that teenagers now are far smarter than they were 23 years ago, or is it just because A levels have been made easier so that more teenagers can get into university?

What of Earthquake and Tornado scales etc.,?

Here in England insurance companies are moaning to the government about the covenant between them and government about the distribution of responsibility from natural disasters now that they're getting their financial 'a r s e s' kicked by English weather that apparently didn't seem to 'realise' about these scales and did its own thing!

We're about to understand the true meaning of our obsession with MINIMALISM don't you think?

I just wish Klaatu & Gort would really land on this planet and define our boundries & help us understand the following eloquently described concept from a future film aimed at a vastly different generation and culture - but with very much the same message:-

Other countries are starting to see the use of hemp in everything from clothing, paper, lotions, and building material for homes. It's faster to grow then tree's and cheaper. In the 50's hemp was given to the Native Americans in the Dakota's to grow, but then the government started the war on crime and hemp became illegal. Why? Besides the fact that the paper companies had ties to congress.

I just heard that Oscar the cat that climbs in the bed of dying patients at a nursing home has been found dead. Unverified reports say that a dented bedpan was found nearby and that Oscar had become increasingly unpopular since all the media attention about his special abilities. I have to wonder if all the news coverage didn't paint a big target on his head.

What does something like this say about us? Whatever it says...it can't be good.

Will or, more importantly, the U S attack Iran.
There two things to consider;

Iran says that they do not have a nuclear bomb.
The only way to find out for sure, is to attack Iran.
I think Iran already has a nuclear weapon. Although, how effective it is, is another question.
I think that Iran wants the US to attack them. This way they would try to gain world sympathy by accusing the US of attacking a "peace loving country" by using the excuse of The possibility of Iran having a nuclear weapon.
I think that attacking Iran, we would lose the support of countries in that region, of the world.
Question:::...Is it any of our business what Iran does?

In China according to the Associated Press, it's not uncommon for at least 10 Chinese Miners to be killed in the mines every day! Think about that! Everyday?! So much for Occupational Safety and Health Administration in China? 6 Miners in Minnesota are dead due to flooding, the Miners in Utah are feared dead as well? My Mother's Father, my Grandfather use to be a coal miner in West Virginia.

He eventually died of lung cancer due to the silica and carbon that's contained in the coal. I remember him telling my Uncles never to work in the coal mines because it's way too dangerous and that eventually they too will develop lung cancer from constantly working the mines. I know in West Virginia, the guys that work in the mines earn way beyond minimum wage. I don't think it's a money thing with the miners as much as it is a "family" thing. My prayers go out to the families that affected by these multiple tragedies.
