I just heard that Oscar the cat that climbs in the bed of dying patients at a nursing home has been found dead. Unverified reports say that a dented bedpan was found nearby and that Oscar had become increasingly unpopular since all the media attention about his special abilities. I have to wonder if all the news coverage didn't paint a big target on his head.
What does something like this say about us? Whatever it says...it can't be good.

I heard it on a radio talk show just before I posted the question. I don't know the host's source. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a joke.

Beachy...I'm not questioning the original story about Oscar the cat's abilities. That got a lot of national coverage a few weeks ago. The issue now is that there are reports that the cat, himself, is dead...and that he died under suspicious circumstances...possibly related to all the media exposure he got.
I know in the grand scheme of things, even if the stories of his death are true, that this is not earth-shaking news, but I and many other people, found the idea of Oscar snuggling with dying patients rather sweet. So, I hate to think that such notoriety got him killed by some superstitious ******.
