News and events has been getting a bit heavy recently with talk of bullies and people getting picked on.

Do people mind answering daft questions on this section, even though they're not about the news?

Do the regulars on here go into other sections to answer questions? I have News/Events bookmarked, and rarely stray elsewhere - am I missing anything?

Yes I do Delly - I like a good laugh. When I first started on YA I was in hysterics almost every day. Who needs bloody Prozac. Although I tend to stick to this section, I go for wee wanders every now and again and usually find something to have a giggle about. Mind you, Mysterious is great with the jokes and so is Calamity Jane. You can always rely on those two to cheer you up if you're feeling a bit "down".

Edit: One of the first questions I answered was someone asking about "Dog Custardy Laws". Of course, they actually meant Custody. I was in hysterics for a week - I nearly peed myself cos I was laughing so hard. Every time I thought about it I burst out laughing. Some of the replies were absolutely brilliant. Just wish there was more like it.

Currrent Affairs: that's concentrating on the 1/800th of the population who may be affected by a newsworthy disaster at any one point isn't it? Personally I came here to get all riled up and angry, and ou've made me feel all happy and sharing. Of course it's all daft. No-one except Tom from the Labour Party has ever stolen my rights or done me harm and that wasn't even in a newsworthy way.

I don't mind answering any question as long as I have had experience in that particular scenario. I'm new to New and events, it seems so very interesting.

I will watch the answers and questions here. You might like to change your sections as I do. I like social science. It is fascinating reading the questions and answers.

yes you are missing loads. polls and surveys for me is a relaxing night on the computer when nothing else is doing (in my own life) its fun. if a question from news and events comes up that i feel i want to answer i answer it. whatever is going on in that section i take with a pinch of salt. it doesn't affect my everyday life, but I'll give an opinion anyway.
i also think the questions you answer is dependant upon the mood your are in.

Of course! Much as I LOVE to answer tough questions & "pick people's brains"...-it DOES get alittle tedious, after a fashion. SO, THAT'S when I go prowling around the other Sections- looking to see if there are any questions that catch my fancy THERE. (And there usually ARE)

Yes, I often go to family and relationships and give advice, I find it rewarding and there is often no right or wrong answer, just your own life experiences. Plus you don't go back to it and find 10 thumbs down like on news and events after asking for a link!

polls and surveys can be good,
society and culture and if I'm feeling brave and up for a bashing from some hard core christians I head over to religion and spirituality . . .

Absolutely love it. You have to laugh at something, there is so much shite going on that if you didn't, you'd crack up. I don't think anyone laughs as much as they should do, I want everyone to laugh at absolutely nothing, right now, just because they can, go!!!
