I don't think there has EVER been a Generation in ALL of Human history- that has looked at it's kids & declared; "The kids nowadays are WONDERFULL. They're smart, respectfull, do everything they're told- and don't give their parents ANY trouble..."! I mean- IMAGINE that..!!! So look on the BRIGHT side; if you think THIS Generation is bad- just WAIT until you see what the NEXT one is going to be like! :)

High school is either worse or better, depending on who your friends are. I'm really impressed with you for recognizing that these girls are being trashy, and for not wanting to be like them. That's a really mature way of looking at it, you should be proud of yourself. Middle school was definitely the hardest, most emotional time of my life as far as friends go, it's when everyone is starting to mature into who they're going to be. A close relationship with your parents (or a parent) is important, generally speaking moms are someone you can tell anything to, and they'll never spill your secrets. I hope yours is like that. I'm sure everyone isn't going out to bars and sleeping around, or playing with barbies. There has to be one or two girls in your class who are normal. Not geeks, not hoes, just normal girls. It might be a good idea to get to know them, see if you end up being friends. Popularity is not the most important thing, it's more important that you have a good circle of friends who understand and support you, and don't bring tons of drama. Best of luck to you, and keep in mind that this sort of thing does settle down before too long.

I am 23 now, when I was 9 I remember dry-humping my boyfriend and I had tried smokes. and when I was 12, I brew bubbles over my different boyfriends "thing" in a spa
I think the main thing that has happened is that because our world is becoming so unsafe, we are now seeing alot more of the young kids. I was never at home when I was young kids have to be at someone's house now because its not safe to roam the streets anymore

Things are changing, its the parents fault, no offense to any one but do you see the way married women dress lately?, the way the parents act have major role on their kids lives, its all little things that add up, people say its the media when honestly its not, because if parents watched what their kids did and disciplined them more often, problems like this wouldnt occur.

This is what happens when you teach sex education to young kids and don't mention that it is OK to wait till your older.
Everyone thinks that looks like fun lets try it.
Keep the sex education out of schools unless you are going to bring back moral based teaching.

i also think it has a lot to do with the parents, in days gone by you wouldn't see children in mini skirts or ppl licking the faces of one another in public, our children are forced to grow up too quickly and as a result they become sexualised earlier and earlier, also the fact that children have a better diet than years gone by and are hitting puberty earlier also has an impact. all we can do is educate our children with fact and hope that we have given them enough common sense so as not to end up getting themselves into trouble. it's a minefield !!

I don't look at the kids. I ask "where are the parents" Bill Cosby asked this and, lost many honorary degrees but, he stands by his words and I have to agree with him, by the way, I do know him personally. Where are the parents.
