It will be given to a good cause.

So no need to worry your head over that one

What I heard was the money would be donated to a good cause like charities or some kind of funding if Madeleine was never found. I don't think the plan was ever for them to keep it. My God if they done that it would be a very sick thing to do, especially when it is not their money.

People donated the money in the hope of finding Madeleine. But if the unfortunate thing happened and Madeleine was not found then I think it is only right for the money to go to charity. I think that was the plan anyway. I don't think they were ever meant to keep it.

The "FUND" if you want to call it that is actually a registered company with a Private, limited by guarantee, no share capital)
Nature of Business (SIC(03)):

If it was a charity, it would be registered here:

So yes tecnicly speaking its a profit making company & not a charity/fund

They did say if proof that their Madeleine is no more is found, the fund would be donated to a children's charity.

So negative? so early in the morning Grumples?!
Hope your day improves!

They can do what they like with it - it is their money held in a Ltd Co account which is managed by family members.

Also gaining interest, around £1000 a week in a basic account.

Nice work if you can get it!
