i actualy think that the reason behind the violence in the middle east is because ppl always felt frustrated. most of the middle east countries have been occupied for many years by Britain france , italy .etc.. so they were fighting for their freedom. & when they had their freedom they had to face their corrupted& dictator leaders & now they r afraid to be occupied again by america after the american invasion to iraq & the threats to iran & syria . so actualy i can't blame arabs for thier violent attitude.

In a matter of speaking, it's because of the neighborhood they grew up in.

It is evident that MOST (not all) arabs are more fervent than the average person. A very good example would be their version of American Idol. When one of the contestants got voted out, his supporters took to the streets, chanted his name and said "by our blood, we will defend you".

You're right to say that the British and other colonial powers and how they carved up this region in the past, along with the dictators of today, have contributed to their continued hatred and struggle against the West, but I think in order to understand why Arabs are the way they are, you have to look even further into the past, to how their cultures were shaped.

The Arabs are not a single cohesive group of people, the same way Asian and European don't refer to one homogenous group of people. Whereas Asians and Europeans are composed of a few different nationalites, the Arabs are composed of hundreds of tribes. These tribes have their own political system, loyalties, and identity. Because they existed in a region with scant resources (it is a desert after all), these tribes were constantly at war with each other, for thousands of years. They lived like this until well into the 600th century AD, the century that Islam came into the picture. Because of these people's violent history, it has become a significant part of their culture. This culture pre-dates Islam. It was not Islam that taught them violence. A few people decided to incorporate this part of their culture in the teachings of Islam. Put simply, it was how they lived (because of scarce resources and the numerous divisions that existed among them) that eventually made them like this.

Have you read the books about "Lawrence of Arabia" these are not just novels, they' re history. When Lawrence brought the tribes together is was the first time anyone had ever done this in known history. They're history is continual fighting between them, In these modern times, they have oil to bargain with but, whose rich from this, not all the people just a caste system, like other Eastern countries.

As for Democracy, it was the wrong decision to try and bring this to them, they simply don't believe in it, it's part of their religion to abhor democracy and all it stands for.

As soon as we leave, they'll be at each others throats again. My Grandson has been working on the electricity over there for three years, why, these countries are oil rich and should have had electricity years ago, but why now, some people he said have never seen an electric bulb while other in the upper casts live in splendor, doesn't that tell you something?

Things tend to happen for a reason. When the mid east can ever manage to manage themselves without running around trying to kill everybody then maybe it would be a good idea for them not to be occupied. I really cant see how any reasonable person could ever think that America occupying these backward thinking countries is a bad thing. We protect them from themselves, billions of our hard earned tax dollars go out to aid them, we build schools and homes for them, teach them skills and how to defend themselves. We feed them and set up hospitals to supply them and their children with medical attention and medicine and try to set them up with some sort of a government that isn't insane. Yet a large percentage of the people in those countries and the world and even our own citizens hate America and want us out not to mention dead. Seems they feel they're better off wondering if their dictator will test poisonous gas on them today or maybe send some soldiers over to behead somebody because he heard a rumor that somebody might not absolutely love everything about him and their wife's nose was accidentally exposed in public when she sneezed and her stupid vale slipped.

I believe that

(1) Arabs and people in the middle east have been oppressed by rogue leaders, dictators, and corrupt kingdoms. The people starve while their leaders bask in wealth and crap on solid gold toilet seats. The people are extremely controlled by their religious or political leaders - often in fear.

(2) While the west was studying science and technology and advancing the quality of life, people in the middle east are studying Islam. This is useless in aspect of advancing their quality of life, health, medicine, agriculture, or providing jobs and employment.

(3) Islam teaches them to be extremely intolerant of of other people, religions or culture. Even other branches of Islam are not tolerated (Shiites against Kurds against Sunnis) With brain washing, violence, and fear they hope to spread the acceptance of Islam throughout the world. Note. The Catholic religion and actions of the Vatican were no different during the inquisition, crusades, witch burnings etc. Again fear and violence were the tools of the trade.

And the west should not be buying their oil.

They are too pious and very sensitive
they consider everything else in this world only after their religion. I think it is because of the situations in the middle east they have developed such a mentality. Right from the time of crusades until now they have been fighting constantly for their rights and they carry the same mentality wherever they go on this earth

No. We should not generalize Arabs (or probably Muslims) as having a violent attitude. It is the radicals and the extremist Arabs in particular that should be blamed. They believe that the way to eternal life is to murder Christians and believe too that this is the teachings of Allah. So they willfully venture to the US, UK, Philippines, France, etc to murder as many people as possible. They are so violent to the point they will blow themselves up in the name of Allah and their false Jihad cause.

Read some books about their religion "since it's very beginnings" and you'll see that since the time of the Prophet, they've always had the same attitude towards everything.

Iran is not occupied. There army has been declared terrorists.

How would you explain that this has been going on for centuries. America wasn't even born while the muslims were killing each other. No shift of blame please.
