Do you think they should continue the search or just leave them down there ?
I think they should continue the search no matter what the
cost, i think it is a crying shame this day and time with todays
tecnoligy and equipment that they would even consider leaving
them down there. if it means removing the mountian off from
them or what ever it takes i think for the families sake they need brougt out. i wish there was a way of starting some kind of petition to forse the mine owners or msha or the goverment or whoever to have to get them out dead or alive. they should not just be allowed to quit.

I may have worded my question wrong about saying getting them out at any cost, i did not mean the cost of more lives, i totaly disagree with that. I meant
money wise. Where i live in W.V. they started doing a lot of mountain top removel, instead of tunneling under ground to get the coal out, they take the mountain off down to the coal, the cost may be a little higher, but it is a lot safer.
that was mainly my question, why can't they remove the mountain if thats what it takes to get the miners out, to give them a proper buruiel. I know it would cost millions of dollars, but i think they owe it to the families to bring them out.

there are other ways to search the mine ..than having human rescuers go in there...There is technology in existance that could search ..even dig if need be..by remote control..robotics has come a long way...however..whether or not the owners of the mines..will take that step is questionable..i personally believe that the miners saddly may not have survived..but by Gods grace i hope i am wrong on that. I agree with another person earlier on this...that Miners should be outfitted with Location beakons.... if they would work underground..which they could be made to work..and would help in locating anyone trapped underground..like a black box..an airplane carries...but instead of recording..it would beam out a signal...it should be researched...One way of doing this would be to drill exploratory holes...in the most likely places...then lower a reciever into the hole..to check for signal in that area...it may seem like a hit and miss strategy but..considering what is currently being done..to find the miners...it could not hurt ... there are ways to get geographical information...via a type of sonar...the Oil companies use them to find..Oil pockets in the Earth..theres a lot of technology that could be applied here...its just a matter of motivation and drive to do so.

I think when the cost is further lives, it's not a good idea. That's just too high a price. Sorry to disagree, but there is an extremely good chance those miners died during the mine collapse. If they were alive, one of them would have used a rock or something hard to make a clearly repetitive pounding noise. No signal was ever detected.

I think the mine operator needs to quit going on the air and grabbing air time in order to establish a defense for himself at a later date when this gets litigated. I think it's an awful thing for him to do in the circumstances.

The owner of that mine should be behind bars,
those poor souls were forced by a living standard to work like slaves, The owners were well aware of the dangers the owner was aware the mine was unsafe, but then so did the workers, all miners know what working under ground can do to you
IF in fact,
the miners have all past away, everyone one of the hero's bodies should be dug up and given a proper Christian burial ,
those poor souls should ,never be left underground.
unsafe mine work is more important than the owners profits. my last point,
all hero's that tried to get them out. should be honored as true heros. and the ones that gave their lives should be honoured as true American Angels. reality must take precedence,
the company must make financial restitution to the survivors and their families.
if the owners were honest they would have said right from the start they knew it was such dangerous loose shale ,
literally impossible to control.
May god Bless their souls

the topic are those: - they do no longer comprehend on the place the trapped miners are, the trapped miners are not the place they meant to be, the two they moved or crushed or 'something' grabbed them. - The mine enviroment at the instant could no longer be risk-free, it is extra powerful to attend till new safer procedures to rescue could be devise. As for living without nutrients. type of according to possibility around a month at optimal. They nonetheless want water nevertheless. As for sending a microphone first. it is not a waste of time, they're attempting to establish the place the trapped miners are and regardless of if or no longer they're nonetheless alive. they're doing the suited element interior the militia, finding friendlies and installation verbal exchange. whilst they have placed the trapped miners, then they could dig a tunnel to the trapped miners. what's a waste of time on the different hand is to dig a tunnel as we communicate without understanding the place are the trapped miners. As for Peruvian venture as against mine venture. i think of that the officers (the mining company, the government, the mass media, and so on) are reluctant to bare on what incredibly happened in that mine. they're attempting to blame this on 'risk-free practices violations' and 'undesirable mining', whilst the fact is probable actual lies on those anomalous 'seismic' vibrations. So the officers could prefer to cover up this as a case 'risk-free practices violations' and 'undesirable mining', and then flow directly to the sitution on Peru and elsedwhere.

The problem is that they do not know where in the mine these men are located. While I think the men should have a proper funeral and be laid to rest in an appropriate way. It is very very unfair to put other people in harms way especially by sending them on a wild goose chase in a mountain that is literally swallowing people up. If they knew where the men were I would say get them out, in the meantime I would like to see more holes drilled until they can find their location, and then once they know then they can send people to retrieve them. It is senseless to do this before they know where they are.

Your points are valid. But what about the loss of life in trying to get to them? Six men down there and already three rescuers dead. What if there's another collapse? Then it could be, say, a dozen dead to bring up six. It's kind of like a Saving Private Ryan situation.

It is unspeakably sad, but if no sounds are heard from the hole that they are now drilling, everybody is going to have to accept the reality of the situation. I think every reasonable method of locating and helping the miners has been tried.

I agree – they should find those guys! I also think that miners should have some form of badge to wear that would make finding them easier.

I agree with not sending in manned rescue teams (disagreed with it from the start), but they shouldn’t just leave them there.

Do you really believe that they are still alive at this time and date? What about the families of the rescue team who died while attempting to rescue. If they are found they will be brought up to be buried. I am not trying to be heartless.
I do not believe we should put others at risk so that they may be buried. They are all in the hands of God now.

They've been dead since about Day One or Two (no oxygen). Should we risk lives trying to recover dead bodies?
